A jumper cable which includes a receptacle mounted on, near or within a battery casing. The receptacle may include a socket having a pair of circular contacts on the inner circumference thereof electrically connected to battery terminals. The device may also include a cable having a plug on each end configured to mate with the receptacle socket. Such a plug may include a larger-diameter ring for engaging the upper contact and a smaller-diameter ring for engaging the lower contact when the plug is inserted into the socket, Accordingly, if a battery needs recharging, a plug is inserted into the receptacle associated with the dead battery and the opposing plug is inserted into a receptacle associated with a charged battery to establish electrical interconnection there between. Alternatively, an adapter having a socket and electrical clamps for grasping battery terminals may be used when a receptacle is not connected to one of the batteries.

A connector includes a contact having a contact point that is electrically coupled to a connecting terminal of an external device by pressing the connecting terminal onto the contact point, a protective member having an aperture for exposing the contact point from a surface of the side for pressing the external device and movable between a first position and a second position, a first shell covering the protective member with the aperture exposed, a base accommodating the contact and the protective member, and a ground contact having a first elastic portion that pushes up the protective member and the first shell, having a first held portion held by the base, and being grounded. The ground contact pushes up the protective member and the first shell with an elastic force of the first elastic portion. The contact point is positioned inside the protective member at the first position.

A plug connector of the present disclosure includes a plug housing and a plurality of plug terminals stored in the plug housing. This plug connector is fitted in a receptacle connector having a receptacle terminal, and is connected to a cable having a sheet shape and including a cable terminal, thereby establishing electrical connection between the receptacle terminal and the cable terminal. Each of the plug terminals has a contact section and a connection section. The contact section is contactable with the receptacle terminal, and the connection section is connectable to the cable terminal. In a state in which the plug connector is fitted in the receptacle connector, the connection section is disposed such that the connection section is exposed from the plug housing.

A charging device is provided. The charging device includes an output terminal unit connected to an input terminal unit of a battery pack. The output terminal unit includes a terminal body including an output terminal connected to the input terminal unit and a terminal cover which covers the output terminal before the input terminal unit of the battery pack is connected to the output terminal unit and through which the output terminal passes while the input terminal unit of the battery pack is connected to the output terminal unit.

In accordance with some embodiments, a high speed connection may be implemented using pogo-pins. The use of pogo-pins may be advantageous because accurate alignment is not required, connection force is generally lower than with other connections and appearance is often highly advantageous. Through the use of a moveable metal shield, an advantageous high speed connection for high speed signaling may be implemented between the two devices.

A water resistant port and a method for using it are provided. The port comprises a moveable seal assembly coupled to a spring structure. The moveable seal assembly may comprise a plastic material on an inner surface and a seal material on an outer surface. When the spring structure is in a relaxed position, the moveable seal assembly is caused to create a seal with a gasket material coupled to a side wall of a port casing. The spring structure comprises a spring coupled to the moveable seal assembly at one end and to a guide at an opposite end in an interior portion of the port casing. The port casing comprises, on an interior surface, one or more electrical connectors adapted to receive one or more electrical contacts of an accessory plug when the spring structure is compressed and the moveable seal assembly is in an engaged position.

A system for containing a strain relief, the system comprising an assembly housing, the assembly housing including: a first outer housing including a connector body; a second outer housing including a rear housing, wherein the first outer housing snaps into the second outer housing and creates a chain of contact points that connect components internal to the assembly housing and prevents internal components from rotating, wherein the assembly housing houses within a banana plug shaft, a strain relief and a solder junction, wherein the solder junction solders a first end of a conductor cable to the banana plug shaft, wherein the first end of the conductor cable is disposed within the assembly housing, and wherein via the chain of contact points, the banana plug shaft presses the strain relief into place and prevents movement of the strain relief and the solder junction.

It is aimed to provide a connector including a moving plate capable of satisfactorily positioning a tab. A connector includes a first housing having a terminal holding portion and a receptacle, a male terminal fitting having a tab projecting into the receptacle, a second housing to be connected to the first housing, and a moving plate through which the tab is passed and which positions a front end part of the tab and is movable in the receptacle. The moving plate includes a projection formed by causing a hole edge part of a positioning hole to project forward on a first facing surface facing the second housing. A front end of the tab is located rearward of a virtual protection surface defined by extending an outer surface of the projection obliquely forward when the moving plate is at an initial position.

A driver for driving a light engine of a luminaire is provided. The driver comprises a driver assembly with a driver circuit for converting an input current provided by a power supply into an output current for driving the light engine, a housing for receiving the driver assembly, and a driver interface being detachably engageable with a driver bracket. The driver interface comprises a mechanical interface for mechanically coupling the driver to a mechanical interface of the driver bracket and an electrical interface for electrically coupling the driver to an electrical interface of the driver bracket in such a way that the input current from the power supply to the driver circuit and the output current from the driver circuit to the light engine can flow via the driver interface. Examples are disclosed that relate to connector systems, magnetic plug assemblies and methods for mating a magnetic plug assembly with a plurality of receptacles. In one example, a magnetic plug assembly comprises a moveable member comprising an aperture and one or more magnets. A plug tip extends through the aperture, and one or more biasing elements urge the moveable member and the one or more magnets toward a distal end of the plug tip, with the moveable member being moveable relative to the plug tip.
