A receptacle connector having a stable contact point structure and a rigid structure, and a connector assembly including the same, is provided. The receptacle connector includes a receptacle housing, a plurality of receptacle terminals which are retained and supported in the receptacle housing in a first direction, and one pair of receptacle metal members which are provided on both ends of the receptacle housing in the first direction.

Weldable poka-yoke connector

The present disclosure is for an electrical connector assembly for a vehicle, among other apparatuses known in the art utilizing electrical connectors. The electrical connector assembly is comprised of a connector body and a terminal coupled to the connector body. The electrical connector assembly also comprises a wire harness having a lead. A connector is coupled to the lead and to the terminal, and the connector establishes an electrical connection between the lead and the terminal. The connector and the terminal each have a portion that forms one end of a poka-yoke connection. The connector and the terminal are welded to secure and maintain the respective electrical connection.

CONNECTOR

There is provided a connector configured by a first connector and a second connector which are fitted and electrically connected to each other. The first connector includes a projecting portion extending toward the second connector. The second connector includes: a terminal; and a cap configured to cover a front surface of the terminal and having a folding mechanism. A cover portion of the cap includes: a first cover portion provided with a rotating shaft; a second cover portion adjacent to the first cover portion and provided with a rail pin; and a connection portion that rotatably connects the first cover portion and the second cover portion to each other. The rail pin is configured to move along a rail in response to the contact portion being pressed and/or released by the projecting portion.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR

The plug shell of the electrical connector includes the accommodation portion for accommodating the contact pin and the housing that holds the contact pin, the insertion port for inserting the contact pin and the housing into the accommodation portion, the lid member for closing the insertion port, and the hold mechanism for holding the lid member. The hold mechanism includes the pedestal, on which the lid member is placed, and the pair of hold pieces, which hold the lid member on the pedestal by pressing. The pair of hold pieces press the end portions of the lid member toward the pedestal, so that thereby a stress that urges the end portions to become distant from the pedestal is generated in the lid member.

Electrical cord cap with easy connect housing portions

An electrical connector body is provided includes first and second housing portions formed from molded plastic. The housing portions include first and second interface surfaces that are configured to butt against one another to define a housing and one or more electrical components are disposed within an interior of the housing. The one or more electrical components may comprise connectors of a male or female cord cap, an in-line surge suppression circuit, and/or a compact automatic transfer switch. In one implementation, each of the first and second connector body portions may include a strain relief extension for engaging an electrical cord and a compression member (3691) may be disposed over the strain relief extensions to secure together the first and second connector body portions. The compression member may be selected from a set of compression members based on a size of the electrical cord.
