Electrical Connector Assembly
An electrical connector assembly comprises a first connector and a second connector. The first connector has a hood defining a mating opening. The second connector has a housing body configured to be received in the hood, a rear end wall formed continuous with the housing body and projecting outward from the housing body in a circumferential direction, a lock arm configured to prevent disengagement of the first connector and the second connector, and a cover disposed at the rear end wall covering a portion of the lock arm. A front end surface of the rear end wall facing the second connector forms a uniformly continuous flat surface in a region including the cover.
Electrical Connector
An electrical connector that prevents water from entering the hood of the electrical connector. The electrical connector includes a housing adapted to be mated in a receiving space in a hood of a mating connector. On a top side of the electrical connector in a state where the electrical connector is mated to the mating connector, the housing includes an inclined surface having an inclination angle of more than 90° at a front end of the hood of the mating connector for draining water falling onto the electrical connector.
Electrical Connector
An electrical connector comprises a housing and a contact held by the housing. The housing has a hood including a receiving space for receiving a mating connector and a pair of first inner surfaces extending along a vertical direction. The first inner surfaces face the receiving space and are disposed at a first interval in a horizontal direction. Each of the first inner surfaces includes a first inclined surface extending a predetermined distance from a front end of the hood in a mating direction toward an opposite rear end of the hood.
WIRING HARNESS PLUG CONNECTOR
A wiring harness plug connector. The wiring harness plug connector encompasses a contact carrier and at least one electrical lead. The contact carrier has at least one passthrough conduit for the at least one electrical lead. The at least one electrical lead is passed through the passthrough conduit in an insertion direction. The contact carrier has, in front of the at least one passthrough conduit when viewed in the insertion direction, a partition that surrounds a sealing space. Provision is made that the sealing space is filled with a sealant in such a way, and that the sealant at least locally fills up the at least one passthrough conduit in such a way, that the at least one electrical lead is surrounded in fluid-tight fashion.
SHIELD CONNECTOR
Disclosed is a shield connector for supporting cables such that terminals of the cables are directly connected to a terminal coupling portion inside a unit, the shield connector including: a fixing plate which includes fixing part-cable through-holes, through which the cables pass, and a holding fastening portion; and a sub assembly which includes movable part-cable through-holes, through which the cables pass, and has one surface supported by the fixing plate. The sub assembly includes: a shield plate which is in contact with shield portions of each of the cables and has the outer circumference in contact with a shield part of the unit; and a shield plate-fixing plate having one surface that fixes the shield plate. Therefore, the shield connector makes it possible to directly install the cable in the unit without the need for the separate male and female connectors.
HERMETICALLY SEALING CONNECTOR
In the case of a connector comprising two plug parts that can be plugged into one another with front housing parts adapted to one another (100, 200) as well as electrical contact elements (120, 220) adapted to one another, where-in the two front housing parts (100, 200) in the plugged together state overlap on regions facing one another (225), provision is made in particular that the two front housing parts (100, 200) outwardly seal the plug connection resulting from plugging the two plug parts together by means of a sealing lip (125) arranged on the one front housing part (100) as well as by means of an annular groove (230) arranged on the respective other front housing part (200), which is surrounded inwardly by annular rotary sealing surfaces (235, 235′) and surrounded outwardly by an annular rotary collar (225).
DEVICE FOR PROTECTING A CONNECTOR OF A VEHICLE
A connector protection device for a vehicle is configured to protect an electrical connector to prevent the connector from being chipped or damaged. The device protects the electrical connector by covering the same with a grommet. When the electrical connector is covered with the grommet by stretching a cutout in the grommet to the to match the size and width of the electrical connector, a supporting rib formed on the lower surface of an upper plate of the grommet is pressed upon being brought into contact with a grommet-side connector and, at the same time, the cutout is automatically closed.
CABLE SEAL CONNECTOR WITH PUNCH-OUT CAPABILITY FOR UNUSED CAVITIES
A cable seal connector assembly includes an outer housing having a sealing area with a plurality of terminal insertion cavities configured to receive a wire and a cable seal of an electrical connection. The cable seal is disposed about the wire and configured to seal one terminal insertion cavity of the plurality of terminal insertion cavities. At least one terminal insertion cavity of the plurality of terminal insertion cavities includes a molded member integrally formed within the terminal insertion cavity when the outer housing is formed. The molded member is configured to seal the terminal insertion cavity, and the molded member configured to be removed from the terminal insertion cavity.
FEMALE AND MALE CONNECTORS
A female connector includes a female terminal, an inner housing which holds the female terminal, an outer housing relatively movable to the inner housing, tubular first shield shell integrated with the inner housing, and an elastic member which generates a resilient force. The male connector includes a male terminal, a housing which holds the male terminal, and the tubular second shield shell integrated with the housing. First shield shell abuts against the second shield shell on the connector insertion direction side with insertion of the connectors and is pressed against the second shield shell by the resilient force of the elastic member.
Waterproof Connection System for Cable/Electrodes/Sensors
A waterproof electrical connector assembly releasably connects an electrical cable to a second cable, or to one or more electrodes or sensors in a housing that has a bore therethrough that accommodates the electrical cable on one end and a fitting on the other end. The fitting holds one or more electrodes/sensors in a bore through the fitting. The fitting is a commercially-available male-threaded polymeric fitting of the type used in High-performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) applications. This type of polymeric fitting has a conical, or tapered, ferrule portion at one end that is configured to fit securely into a female-threaded and chamfered bore in the housing so that when the fitting is tightened against the chamfered housing bore it forms a watertight seal which is waterproof to at least 10,000 psi. As the seal is formed, the components contact each other to form an electrical connection, illustratively, a connection from electrode or sensor probes to the cable leading to measuring equipment.
