HIGH DENSITY COUPLING PANEL
A high density coupling panel of the present disclosure presents a compact grouping of coupler wherein each of the couplers couples a first free connector with a second free connector wherein each of the free connectors is coupled to exactly two electrical conductors. The high density coupling panel can be manufactured in a shielded (e.g., metal) or non-shielded (e.g. non-metal) form as appropriate to a specific application. In the shielded configuration, a bonding strip is used to connect all metal components (e.g., shielded free connectors, shielded couplers, and metal panel of the high density coupling panel) to ground via a shielding tab.
Connector and Connector Assembly
A connector includes a housing and an elastic latch. The elastic latch includes an elastic cantilever having a free end, a fixed end connected to the housing, and a main part extending between the free end and the fixed end. The fixed end has an inclined surface extending inclined with respect to a surface of the housing. An angle between the inclined surface and the surface of the housing is greater than 90 degrees.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE AND MECHANICAL ASSIST
A connector pair includes a header with a protrusion and an electrical connector assembly movable relative to the header between a mated position and an unmated position. The electrical connector assembly includes a connector housing and a connector position assurance retained on the connector housing for relative linear movement between a lock position and an open position. The connector position assurance includes a first lock surface that engages a second lock surface on the protrusion to retain the electrical connector assembly in the mated position. The connector position assurance includes a first assist surface that engages a second assist surface on the protrusion to move the electrical connector assembly from the mated position toward the unmated position.
ADAPTOR PLUG FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
An adapter plug for a charging port of an electric vehicle includes a housing, a first electrical connector, and a second electrical connector. The housing has circuitry disposed therein. The first electrical connector is integral to the housing, faces a first direction, and has a first profile. The first profile is configured to mate with the charging port and connect the circuitry to the charging port. The second electrical connector is integral to the housing, faces a second direction opposing the first direction, and has a second profile. The second profile matches the charging port. The second profiled is configured to mate with a connector head of a charging station and connect the circuitry to the connector head.
CHARGE COUPLER SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A charge coupler adapted to be coupled to a charging inlet of an electric vehicle, the charge coupler including: a housing including a first portion adapted to be disposed around a first plurality of contacts and a second portion adapted to be disposed around a second plurality of contacts; a conductive member disposed between the first portion of the housing and the second portion of the housing; and a control system coupled to the conductive member and operable for sensing a break in the conductive member indicating damage to one or more of the first portion of the housing and the second portion of the housing or that the second portion of the housing is detached from the first portion of the housing. Optionally, the conductive member includes a conductive loop disposed around an inner periphery of the housing, the first plurality of contacts, and the second plurality of contacts.
MECHANIZED TRAILER CONNECTOR
The present technology describes systems and methods for power coupling of a tractor-trailer system. The technology may include a robotic arm, an end effector, a coupling tool, and a tool resting rack. An electrical outlet on a trailer may be coupled with a tool under control of the end effector and positioning of the robotic arm. The end effector may include a housing, a motor, a clutch, and a drive shaft. A tool coupled to the end effector may include an electro-mechanical (EM) coupler. The EM coupler may include a housing, an electric plug, a lid lifter, a lead screw, and a servomotor.
JOINT CONNECTOR
A joint connector 10 is provided with connecting members 21 each including a plurality of terminals 12 and a conductive member, and a plurality of housings. The plurality of housings are stacked along a stacking direction. At least one housing constituting the plurality of housings includes a placing portion, on which the connecting member 21 is placed, and a lid portion for at least partially covering the connecting member 21 placed on the placing portion to hold the connecting member 21 in the housing. A first housing 71 and a second housing 171 are stacked on each other. A first lid portion relating to the first housing 71 and a second lid portion relating to the second housing 171 are provided with a stacked state holding portion.
PLUG CONNECTOR WITH FLEXIBLE INSERTION DIRECTIONS
A plug connector includes a plug head, a plug terminal module, a locking member and a retaining body installed on one side of the plug connector. The plug terminal module includes a number of first plug terminals and a number of second plug terminals. The first plug terminals and the second plug terminals have a same structure and number. The first plug terminals and the second plug terminals are symmetrically arranged on opposite sides of the plug connector head.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HAVING AN INSULATIVE HOUSING AND A BOTTOM SUBSTRATE
An electrical connector includes: an insulative housing having a top wall and a pair of side walls; and a substrate secured to the insulative housing to constitute a bottom wall of the insulative housing, the substrate having plural front conductive pads at an upper face thereof and plural rear conductive pads at a lower face thereof in electrical connection with the plural front conductive pads.
Plug connector with secondary lock
The invention relates to a plug connection (1) having a plug connector (2) and a mating plug connector (3). The plug connector (2) and the mating plug connector (3) can be plugged together in order to form the plug connection (1), wherein the plug connector (2) has a contact support (4) with at least one contact chamber for receiving a contact partner, and the contact support (4) is inserted into an outer housing (5) of the plug connector (2). Each contact partner is primarily locked in the contact chamber of the contact partner, and a secondary lock (6) is provided for a secondary locking of the contact partners in the contact chambers thereof.
