It is aimed to reduce a projection area of a board-side connector on a mounting surface of a circuit board. A connector device (A) is provided with a board-side connector (10), a mating connector (30) facing the board-side connector (10), an adapter (40) rockably supported in the mating connector (30), a tip part of the adapter being connected to the board-side connector (10), a first guide portion (12) and a second guide portion (21) provided on a tip part of the board-side connector (10) and having outer peripheral surfaces inclined to reduce a diameter toward a tip side, and a guided portion (50) provided on the tip part of the adapter (40) and configured to correct a position shift of the adapter (40) with respect to the board-side connector (10) by sliding in contact with the first and second guide portions (12, 21).

Connector With A Mating Assistance Assembly

A connector includes a housing receiving a mating connector in a mating direction, a slide movable with respect to the housing between a latched position and a released position, and a mating assistance assembly. The slide automatically moves from the latched position to the released position upon insertion of the mating connector to a partially mated position in the housing. The mating assistance assembly imparts a mating assistance force on the mating connector as the slide moves from the latched position to the released position. The mating assistance force moves the mating connector further into the housing along the mating direction from the partially mated position to a fully mated position.

SPRING LOADED SELF-EJECTING CONNECTOR

A receiving electrical connector includes a body, a slide movably connected to the body and defining a cam surface, and an elastic element biasing the slide relative to the body in a first direction. The cam surface is adapted to bias a mating connector received by the receiving connector from a mated position into a partially mated position in response to a force placed on the slide in a direction opposite the first direction and against an elastic return force imparted on the slide by the elastic element. The cam surface is further adapted to bias the mating connector from the partially mated position to an ejected position under a force applied on the slide by the elastic element.

Connector

A first housing 10 is arranged in a mounting hole 91 of a panel 90. The first housing 10 includes a base portion 27, a coupling portion 28 located forward of the base portion 27, a linking portion 29 linking between the base portion 27 and the coupling portion 28, and a lock arm 30 projecting rearward toward the base portion 27 from the coupling portion 28. The lock arm 30 has a lock surface 34 to be arranged to contact a front surface of the panel 90. The lock arm 30 and the linking portion 29 are both shaped to be resiliently deformable.

An electrical connector is adapted to be retained in a non-conducting housing and electrically connecting a first component to a second component spaced from one another. The connector includes a first end having a first contact portion for electrically communicating with the first component. A second end of the connector has a second contact portion for electrically communicating with the second component. The second end has a cantilevered beam adapted to flex at a knee portion to bias the second contact portion against an electrical contact surface of the second component. An attachment portion is disposed between the first and second ends. The attachment portion includes an engagement portion providing an interference fit with a mating groove of the housing in which the connector is retained.
