CONNECTOR
An operating member (11) is displaceable to an assembled position, an initial position and a connection position with respect to a housing (10) and proceeds with a connecting operation of the housing and a mating housing (12) by cam engagement with the mating housing (12) when being displaced from the initial position to the connection position. The housing (10) includes resilient locks (25, 26) configured to restrict a displacement of the operating member (11) in a direction opposite to that from the assembled position toward the initial position by resiliently locking the operating member (11) at the assembled position and restrict a displacement of the operating member (11) in a return direction from the initial position to the assembled position by resiliently locking the operating member (11) at the initial position.
High-power plug connector system
An insulating element for a high-power plug connector system comprises at least one stop formation for limiting the distance of insertion into the high-power plug connector system and at least one cutout, which allows contact to be established between a receivable high-power contact and at least one electrically conductive bar. The insulating element has at least one retaining formation, which is located on the periphery of the insulating element, near the stop formation.
Connector
A first housing 10 includes a resiliently deformable lock arm 30. The lock arm 30 has a lock surface 34 to be arranged to contact a front surface of a panel 90 with the first housing 10 arranged in a mounting hole 91 of the panel 90. A second housing 40 includes a space portion 53 into which an arm plate 72 of a lever 70 is arranged, leg portions 57 rising from the side of an outer wall 52 of the space portion 53 while facing each other, and a bridge portion 58 extending between the leg portions 57 facing each other. The bridge portion 58 includes a releasing portion 65 capable of releasing a state where the lock surface 34 is in contact with the front surface of the panel 90.
Electrical connector assembly with axial connection assist
A connector includes a first housing, a second housing, a mate assist slider, and a cam gear. The first-housing has a first outer surface. The second housing is configured to mate with the first housing, and the second housing includes a pin extending from a second outer surface. The connector also includes a mate assist slider moveable from an unmated position to a mated position. The connector also includes a cam gear mounted to the first outer surface. The cam gear moves in response to a movement of the mate-assist-slider from the unmated position to the mated position. The cam gear has a cam slot with an inertial detent. A vibratory feedback is provided to an assembler indicative of a properly positioned connector housing when the pin is moved past the inertial detent.
LEVER-TYPE CONNECTOR
A lever-type connector (1) has a connector housing (10), and a lever (20) including cam plates (21) having cam grooves (23) for receiving cam followers (34) of a mating housing (30). The lever (20) includes push-back pieces (27) retracted from an opening edge (13E) of the connector housing (10) facing the mating housing (30) and extending from the cam plates (21). The connector housing (10) includes push-back piece receiving portions (18) configured to bias the lever (20) from a proper connection position to an initial position by butting against the push-back pieces (27) when the lever (20) is at the proper connection position. An angle (a) of a corner part (C) formed by a line connecting a center of rotation of the lever (20) and a base (27R) of the push-back piece (27) connected to the cam plate (21) and the push-back piece (27) is larger than 90°.
CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE DEVICE, CONNECTOR BOX AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR SYSTEM
A connector position assurance device for an electrical connector comprises a body and a locking lance. The body has a body recess. The locking lance extends along a length of the body and has a fixed end fixed to the body and a lance head opposite the fixed end. The lance head is aligned with the body recess and is resiliently deflected from an undeformed position into the body recess.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HAVING A CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE ELEMENT
An electrical connector includes a housing having an upper wall and a first protrusion and a CPA element slidably coupled to the housing along the upper wall between an extended position and an inserted position. The CPA element includes a base and a first beam extending from the base having a first arm and a first finger including an abutment wall configured to abut against the first protrusion and a tip configured to be engaged by a mating connector when received in the housing. The tip is deflected from a blocked position to a released position with the distal end engaging the protrusion in the blocked position and the tip being deflected outside of the protrusion to the released position where the tip is able to clear past the protrusion to allow the CPA element to be moved from the extended position to the inserted position.
CONNECTOR
A receptacle 47 includes a resiliently deformable lock arm 55 extending in a front-rear direction. The lock arm 55 includes a locking projection 57 projecting into the receptacle 47 from a rear end part and a stopping projection 59 projecting into the receptacle 47 from a location forward of the locking projection 57. The moving plate 42 includes a lock portion 76 at a position corresponding to the lock arm 55. A rear surface of the lock portion 76 faces the locking projection 57 to restrict a movement of the moving plate 42 to a connection position and a front surface of the lock portion 76 faces the stopping projection 59 to restrict a forward movement of the moving plate 42 when the moving plate 42 is at the initial position.
Connector
A lever 50 is arranged movably from a partial locking position before connection of both housings 10, 90 and a full locking position after the connection with respect to the housing 10. Entrances 56 of cam grooves 54, 55 of the lever 50 are open in an edge part of the lever 50. The housing 10 includes a lock piece 31 resiliently displaceable in a direction intersecting a moving direction of the lever 50 to the full locking position. The lock piece 31 includes a lock portion 35 arranged at entrances 56 of the cam grooves 54, 55 and facing inner surfaces of the entrances 56 with the lever 50 located at the partial locking position. The lock portion 35 includes a protruding portion 37 projecting from the entrances 56 of the cam grooves 54, 55.
Locking electrical contact device with switch
An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical contact device and a second electrical contact device. The first electrical contact device includes a plurality of conductors. The second electrical contact device includes a first portion, a second portion movable in a rotational and translational manner relative to the first portion, and an actuator movable between a first position and a second position. The first portion includes first electrical contacts, and the second portion includes electrical sockets. Each socket receives an associated conductor and includes a second electrical contact aligned with an associated first electrical contact. The second portion is biased away from the first portion. When the actuator is in the first position, the actuator inhibits translational movement of the second portion toward the first portion. When the actuator is in the second position, the second portion is movable toward the first portion to permit the second electrical contacts to engage the first electrical contacts.
