The lever (20) includes push-back pieces (27) retracted from an opening edge (13E) of the connector housing (10) facing the mating housing (30) and extending from the cam plates (21). The connector housing (10) includes push-back piece receiving portions (18) configured to bias the lever (20) from a proper connection position to an initial position by butting against the push-back pieces (27) when the lever (20) is at the proper connection position. An angle (a) of a corner part (C) formed by a line connecting a center of rotation of the lever (20) and a base (27R) of the push-back piece (27) connected to the cam plate (21) and the push-back piece (27) is larger than 90°.

Electrical connector with mating interlock members

An electrical connector comprises a first housing, a second housing, a lever adapted to couple the first housing and the second housing with each other, a first interlock member, a second interlock member, a first cam mechanism adapted to mate the first housing and the second housing with each other with movement of the lever in a first direction, and a second cam mechanism. The second interlock member is configured to be mated with the first interlock member to energize an electric circuit. The first cam mechanism limits a moving direction of the lever to a second direction after moving in the first direction. The second cam mechanism is adapted to convert the movement of the lever in the second direction into movement in a mating direction of the first housing and the second housing to mate the first interlock member with the second interlock member.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY WITH SEALED SYMMETRICAL SPLIT LEVER

The present disclosure provides a connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a connector housing adapted to engage with a corresponding counter-connector housing. A lever including a first lever arm and a second lever arm is pivotably and sealingly mounted to the connector housing. Each lever arm includes interlocking means for connecting the first lever arm to the second lever arm at a first location. The interlocking means of each of the first lever arm and the second lever arm are configured to define complementary symmetrical surfaces that interlock with one another when the lever arms are pivotably mounted to the connector housing. On mounting the lever arms to the connector housing, the lever is configured to move about the connector housing between an open state and a closed state to secure the counter-connector housing to the connector housing.

Connector for receiving and electrically connecting with a cable

A connector includes: a housing 3 accommodating at least one of a conductive contact 5; an insertion opening 4 to which a flat cable 2 can be inserted, the insertion opening 4 being provided in front part of the housing 3 and being defined by upper and lower walls 33 and 32 of the housing 3 at the top and bottom; and a lever 6 which is provided in the back part of the housing 3 and is turned to bring the contacts 5 into pressure contact with the flat cable 2 and establish electrical continuity therebetween. The contact 5 includes a first contact 5A which is engaged with the housing 3 at such a position that press-fit forces produced in the direction orthogonal to the press-fit direction when the contact 5A is press-fitted into the housing 3 are not in the same straight line.

CONNECTOR POSITION ASSURANCE WITH IDENTIFICATION FEATURE
20170229813 · 2017-08-10 ·

A connector assembly comprises a first housing, a second housing, a machine readable identifier coupled to the second housing, and a position assurance lock disposed proximate to the second housing. The position assurance lock is configured to secure the first housing to the second housing and place the machine readable identifier in a first state or a second state, depending on whether the first housing is secured to the second housing.

Integrated power output service disconnect
09722438 · 2017-08-01 · ·

The present teachings provide for an electrical connector including a first housing, power terminals, and first and second shunts. The terminals and shunts are located within a cavity of defined by the first housing. The first housing is configured to mate with a second housing to transfer power between a power storage device and components of an electric or hybrid electric vehicle. The first shunt is configured to complete an interlock circuit. The second shunt is configured to complete a service disconnect circuit. The interlock circuit prevents the transfer of power between the first and second housings when the circuit is broken and allows it when complete. The service disconnect circuit causes the power storage device to be substantially electrically isolated from the rest of the vehicle when the circuit is broken.

Connector including electric wire cover with catching portion
09774127 · 2017-09-26 · ·

A connector includes a housing and an electric wire cover assembled with the housing. The housing includes a terminal housing portion and an electric wire leading portion. A locking rib protruding outward is formed on the electric wire leading portion. An assembling portion is formed on an end part of the electric wire cover facing to the housing. The assembling portion includes a locking protrusion and a catching portion protruding more than the locking protrusion in a mounting direction of mounting the electric wire cover on the housing. The catching portion includes a sliding face inclined with respect to the mounting direction. When the electric wire cover is mounted on the housing, the sliding face makes contact with the electric wire leading portion, thereby the assembling portion is displaced outward.

Lever-type connector

A lever-type connector includes a first housing, a second housing, and a lever for moving the second housing. The lever is formed with cam grooves and the second housing includes cam followers movable along the cam grooves. The lever is rotatable about axes of rotation movable within a predetermined range with respect to the first housing. The cam groove includes a first groove portion configured to guide the cam follower, a second groove portion disposed along the first groove portion on the side of the axes of rotation with respect to the first groove portion and configured to guide the cam follower, and a coupling groove extending in a direction intersecting the first and second groove portions to couple the first and second groove portions and configured to guide the cam follower. The coupling groove extends in a direction along a moving direction of the axes of rotation.
