An electrical connector assembly has a housing, that houses at least one electrical contact and a mating lever that is arranged pivotable relative to the housing between an alignment position and a mating position. The mating lever is engageable with the electrical counter connector assembly, in order to move the electrical counter connector assembly along a mating direction A relative to the housing into a mated configuration, when being pivoted from the alignment position to the mating position. A connector position assurance member is arranged moveable relative to the housing so as to be moveable into a locked position, and an elastic element. The elastic element is associated with the connector position assurance member and urges the connector position assurance member into the locked position when the mating lever is in the mating position, so that the connector position assurance member locks the mating lever in the mating position.

A plug connector for interlocking with a mating plug connector along an insertion direction. The plug connector includes: a plug connector housing configured to accommodate at least one contact element; a lever assembly swivelable between a first position and a second position; a cover; and a CPA including at least one blocking element. In the second position, the lever assembly is releasably latched to a latching structure. The CPA is situated at the cover, and is displaceable between an unblocking position and a blocking position along a displacement direction. The CPA includes a blocking element which in the blocking position of the CPA prevents a displacement of the latching structure for releasing the latch between the lever assembly and the latching structure.

Electrical Plug Connector

An electrical plug connector includes a plug connector housing and a connecting lever. The connecting lever is rotatable with respect to the plug connector housing between an initial position and an end position. The connecting lever includes a locking element having a first part fixed to the connecting lever and a second part displaceable relative to the first part. The locking element mechanically locks the connecting lever in the end position to the plug connector housing when the connecting lever is in the end position and the second part is displaced relative to the first part to a locking position. The first and second parts of the locking element respectively carry first and second sections of an optical code. The optical code is completed when the second part is displaced relative to the first part to the locking position whereby the optical code is detectable by an optical reading device.

The detector portion 60 and the lever 90 include movement converting portions for converting a rotational movement of the lever 90 into a linear movement of the detector portion 60 with respect to the mating detector portion 120 by contacting each other.

An electrical connector comprises: a housing provided with a locking portion; a locking lever, which has a first arm and a second arm connected to opposite sides of the housing, and a beam portion extending between the first arm and the second arm, with a channel being provided in the beam portion; and a connector position assurance member, the connector position assurance member having a locking edge, the connector position assurance member being inserted into the channel from an open end of the channel, and the connector position assurance member having a pre-installed position and a locked position in the channel, wherein when the locking lever pivots to the second position and the connector position assurance member enters into the locked position, the locking edge abuts against the locking portion in the channel, thereby locking a rotational motion of the locking lever.

A lever-type connector includes: a first housing; a second housing capable of fitted to and removed from the first housing; a lever rotatably supported by the second housing for fitted to and removed the first housing and the second housing by a rotation operation; a support shaft provided on the second housing; a bearing portion provided on the lever and comprising a shaft sliding groove for sliding the support shaft; a cam follower provided on the lever; a cam groove provided on the first housing, the cam groove to which the cam follower is engageable; a guide protrusion provided on the second housing, and a guide groove provided on the lever, the guide groove to which the guide protrusion is engageable. When the first housing and the second housing are completely fitted by the rotation operation of the lever, the lever becomes slidable with respect to the second housing.

A lever-type connector has a lever that rotates about a shaft on a first housing between a retracted position and a connection start position. The first housing and a second housing are connected by rotation of the lever from the connection start position. A detector is movable between a standby position and a detection position with respect to the lever. The lever includes a lock on an end separated from the shaft. The second housing includes a full locking portion to engage the lock when the housings are connected. The detector locks the lock at the standby position and becomes movable to the detection position when the full locking portion engages the lock. The first housing includes a housing-side lock, and the lever includes a lever-side lock that locks the housing-side lock at the retracted position. The lever-side lock is at a position different from the lock of the lever.
