A plurality of interchangeable, electrically powered, modules and receptacles for use therewith are provided. The interchangeable electrically powered modules are configured and capable of providing a variety of electrical and electronic devices. Each receptacle is configured to be secured to and supported by an otherwise conventional electric back box. The receptacles preferably utilize a bayonet mount receptacle which is standardized for the entire system and which accommodates each and every module in a twist-lock mounting system. Each module includes a cooperating bayonet mount attachment for use with the receptacle bayonet mounts. The use of a bayonet mount attachment for the modules to the receptacle provides a standardized power coupling for the module devices which may be connected by a simple insert and partial turn locking action.

A connector housing assembly includes a connector housing for receiving at least one electrical terminal; a pivotable lever for mating the connector housing with a mating connector along a mating direction, wherein the lever is pivotable about a pivot axis of the connector housing between an initial position and an end position; and an anti-rotation structure which is configured to prevent rotation in the initial position of the lever. The lever comprises a deformation section which, when paired with the mating connector, is deformable such that the lever is rotatable in particular from the initial position. The connector housing assembly further includes a deformation maintenance structure which is configured to maintain the deformed state of the deformation section until the end position of the lever.

LEVER LOCK ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH ADDITIONAL LOCK

An electrical connector includes a first housing portion configured to receive a second housing portion in seated alignment to form a housing of the electrical connector. The connector further includes first lock on the first housing portion that includes a lever rotatable between an unlocked position where the second housing portion is removable from the first housing portion, and a locked position that secures the first and second housing portions in seated alignment. The connector further includes a connector position assurance (CPA) device that, in a staged position, engages with the first lock to maintain the lever in the locked position. The connector further includes a second lock that, in the staged position, further secures the first and second housing portions in seated alignment.

Electrical connector with recordable position assurance

An electrical connector with recordable position assurance includes a housing, an electrical conductor, an indicating feature, and a concealing feature. The housing is configured to engage a complementary mating connector during a mating operation. The indicating feature and the concealing feature are both carried by the housing. The indicating feature has a visual identifier disposed thereon. The indicating feature and the concealing feature are movable relative to each other between a concealed position and an exposed position. The concealing feature conceals at least a portion of the visual identifier in the concealed position. The visual identifier is exposed or exposable in the exposed position. The indicating feature is in the exposed position relative to the concealing feature when the housing is fully mated to the mating connector, and is in the concealed position relative to the concealing feature when the housing and mating connector are not fully mated.

Connector

A plug engagement pin provided on each side of the plug connector is inserted into an engagement section of a hook and locked there when the shaft is rotated. The hook is fixed to a rotatable shaft provided for the receptacle connector and includes a projection. If the plug connector is inserted in a slanted state, the projection of the hook prevents the pin from being rotated.

A lever-equipped connector includes a detecting member attached to a lever to allow a movement from a standby position to a detection position only when the lever is located at a connection position. The detecting member includes a head portion arranged to be exposed from the lever for operation of the detecting member and a leg portion formed to extend from the head portion to be inserted into an insertion recess of a connector housing when the lever is located at the connection position. A deformation suppressing portion for suppressing deformation of the leg portion in an opening direction when the detecting member is pushed from above with the lever located at the pre-connection position is provided between the connector housing and the leg portion.

CONNECTOR WITH ROTATABLE LEVER AND ELASTIC LATCH FOR SECURE MATING WITH COUNTER-CONNECTOR
20250273904 · 2025-08-28 ·

A connector designed for mating with a counter-connector through the insertion of a connector housing into a counter-connector housing includes a lever that rotates around an axis between a first position for pre-engagement and a second position for full insertion. The connector features a latch with a tongue parallel to the lever's rotation plane, elastically flexible at its connection area with the housing. The tongue's free extremity blocks lever rotation in the delivery position, thereby preventing movement toward the mated position by abutting the lever. This extremity is displaced from its blocking position by a cam-like shape on the counter-connector during pre-engagement. The blocking action is cantilevered relative to the tongue's connection with the housing and/or angled with respect to the tongue's normal direction, causing deformation within the tongue's plane. This configuration ensures secure pre-engagement and controlled transition to the fully mated position.

In a lever-type connector 10, a lever 30 includes an arm portion 32 to be disposed along a side surface of a connector housing 20 and a connection detecting member 51 mounted on the arm portion 32 and displaceable between a standby position and a detection position. The arm portion 32 and the connection detecting member 51 include movement restricting portions 37, 67 for restricting the connection detecting member 51 in an inclined posture from being displaced toward the standby position by locking each other if the connection detecting member 51 is set in the inclined posture by applying a force to the arm portion 32 in a direction to release connection and for allowing a displacement of the connection detecting member 51 if the connection detecting member 51 is set in the proper posture.

PLUG-IN CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

A plug-in connector assembly. The assembly includes: a plug-in connector with a plug-in connector housing; a mating plug-in connector with a mating plug-in connector housing; an actuation element; a CPA. The plug-in connector has a plugged position relative to the mating plug-in connector and can be plugged to the mating plug-in connector from a starting plugged position up to a final plugged position along a plugging direction. The actuation element can be displaced between a first position and a second position and is designed to reduce a plug-in force when connecting the plug-in connector to the mating plug-in connector. When the actuation element is displaced from the first position to the second position, the plug-in connector is displaced from the starting plugged position to the final plugged position. The CPA can be displaced between an unlocking position and a locking position.
