Card edge connector equipped with rotatable ejector

A card edge connector includes an insulative elongated housing, a plurality of contacts disposed in the housing, and a pair of rotatable ejectors at two ends of the housing. The housing includes a pair of side walls extending along the longitudinal direction with a receiving slot therebetween in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and a pair of towers at two opposite ends of the housing in the longitudinal direction. The receiving slot is configured to receive a card type memory module. The pair of ejectors are disposed in the corresponding towers, respectively. Each ejector includes a kicker at the bottom wherein a tip of the kicker will not invade into the space between the pair of outermost contacts so as not interfere with the corresponding outermost contacts when the ejector is rotated to be at an open/ejecting position.

Locking clip for a plug connector housing

The invention relates to a locking device for plug connector housings, wherein the locking device (1) can be mounted pivotably on a first plug connector housing (12), wherein the locking device (1) can be locked on a second plug connector housing (14), as a result of which the first and the second plug connector housings (12, 14) can be pressed resiliently against each other. The locking device has means which prevent inadvertent opening of a closed plug connection. This makes it possible to avoid machine failures and accidents. The invention also relates to a method for releasing a first plug connector housing (12) from a second plug connector housing (14) with a locking device (1) which is mounted pivotably on the first plug connector housing (12) and can be locked on the second plug connector housing (14), wherein a force required for a pivoting-open movement increases abruptly during the pivoting-open movement.

Electrical connector having a locking mechanism

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts, a plurality of wires and a locking mechanism. The insulative housing has a first side and a second side. The locking mechanism comprises a rotating member and a fastener, the rotating member has a pair of opposite rotary arms rotatably connected to the insulative housing and an holding arm, and the fastener is arranged on an inner side of the holding arm, the rotating member has a first status and a second status which can be switched by rotation, while the rotating member in the first status, the electrical connector and the complementary connector can be freely plugged in or separated from each other, and while the rotating member being rotated to near or in the second status, the fastener rotates or shifts to achieve a locking of the electrical connector and the complementary connector.

Electrical connector with assist lever

An electrical connector includes a first housing. A second housing is moveable relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a lever mounted on the first housing for relative rotational movement. The lever may move between a pre-stage position and a final position. The lever engages the second housing to move the second housing linearly between a pre-stage position and a seated position relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a pre-lock that retains the lever in the pre-stage position relative to the first housing. A pre-lock release on the second housing releases the pre-lock when the second housing is in the pre-stage position relative to the first housing. Releasing the pre-lock allows movement of the lever relative to the first housing.
