Provided in this disclosure is a charging apparatus for an electrical vehicle. When an electric vehicle is parked above the charging apparatus, a primary connector is slide-ably extended upwards and out of an enclosure in such a manner that it plugs into a secondary connector installed in the bottom of the chassis of the vehicle. The secondary connector includes an inverted cone-shaped component that is mounted to freely move horizontally in all directions from the center to engage the slide-ably extending portion of the primary connection and thereby achieve a final alignment of the primary and secondary connectors.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR

An electrical connector includes an insulating body with multiple accommodating slots, and multiple terminals accommodated in the accommodating slots. Each terminal has an elastic arm, a floating contact portion and a conducting portion. The elastic arm and the floating contact portion are provided at an interval. One end of the elastic arm is connected with the floating contact portion through an insulating block. When each terminal is mated with a first electronic component and a second electronic component, the conducting portion is electrically connected to the first electronic component, the floating contact portion is electrically connected to the second electronic component, the elastic arm provides an elastic force such that the floating contact portion moves downward, and the floating contact portion and the conducting portion are directly electrically connected.

A method of manufacturing an electrical connector is provided. The method includes: providing a terminal and a strip, where the strip is connected to the terminal, and the terminal is formed with an elastic arm, a floating contact portion and a conducting portion; then, insert-molding an insulating block, such that the insulating block connects the elastic arm and the floating contact portion; separating the elastic arm and the floating contact portion; further cutting the strip to separate the terminal from the strip; and providing an insulating body, where the insulating body is formed with at least one accommodating slot running vertically therethrough, and inserting the terminal into the accommodating slot. When the electrical connector is mated, the elastic arm provides an elastic force such that the floating contact portion moves downward, and the floating contact portion and the conducting portion are directly electrically connected.

FLOATING ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR

A floating electrical connector includes a housing with a tubular portion. An axis is defined in a center of the tubular portion. Several floating terminals are arranged around the axis and are partially connected. Each floating terminal has an inner terminal sheet on an inner side and a spring structure on an outer side. Each spring structure is connected to one of the inner terminal sheets. A portion of the inner terminal sheet is inserted into the tubular portion and arranged along an inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion. The portion of each inner terminal sheet located in the tubular portion has an electronic contact bulging inward. Several external pins are electrically connected around the floating terminals. When a conductive pin is inserted into the tubular portion, the spring structures could elastically deform, allowing the tubular portion to adapt to a horizontal deviation or a skew deviation of the conductive pin, providing a greater tolerance for alignment deviations.

ENERGY TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ENERGY TRANSMISSION

An energy transmission device for a watercraft includes a tower arranged on land, a telescoping boom connected to the tower for pivoting about a horizontal axis and about a vertical axis, said boom including a free end, and a first plug connected to the free end of the boom and designed to electrically contact for transmission of electrical energy a second upwardly oriented plug on the watercraft via a vertical plugging motion from above by pivoting the boom relative to the tower.

CONNECTOR

When a first movable housing and a second movable housing are provided, relative positions of a first terminal and a second terminal are prevented from deviating from predetermined positions. A connector 1 includes a fixing housing 2, a first movable housing 31, a second movable housing 32, a first terminal 41, and a second terminal 42. The fixing housing 2 includes the first terminal holding portions 21A that hold the first fixing-side held portions 4B of the first terminals 41, and the second terminal holding portions 22A that hold the second fixing-side held portions 4B of the second terminals 42. The first terminal holding portion 21A and the second terminal holding portion 22A of the fixing housing 2 are integrally molded with resin.
