Extender module for modular connector
A modular electrical connector with modular components suitable for assembly into a right angle connector may also be used in forming an orthogonal connector or connector in other desired configurations. The connector modules may be configured through the user of extender modules. Those connector modules may be held together as a right angle connector with a front housing portion, which, in some embodiments, may be shaped differently depending on whether the connector modules are used to form a right angle connector or an orthogonal connector. When designed to form an orthogonal connector, the extender modules may interlock into subarrays, which may be held to other connector components through the use of an extender shell. The mating contact portions on the extender modules may be such that a right angle connector, similarly made with connector modules, may directly mate with the orthogonal connector.

RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY HAVING A MODULE ORIENTATION FEATURE FOR PLUGGABLE MODULE
A receptacle assembly includes a receptacle cage including cage walls forming a cavity. The cage walls include a top wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall. The receptacle cage extending between a front and a rear. The cavity includes a module channel configured to receive a pluggable module. The receptacle assembly includes a thermal transport assembly coupled to the receptacle cage. The thermal transport assembly includes a thermal bridge is received in the cavity. The thermal bridge includes a thermal interface at a bottom of the thermal bridge configured to interface with the pluggable module and remove heat from the pluggable module. The thermal bridge includes an orientation tab extending from the bottom. The orientation tab defines a keying feature for keyed mating with the pluggable module to orient the pluggable module in the module channel.

SHIELD AND CONNECTOR
Provided are a shield and a connector. The connector includes a shield. The shield includes a shell, a divider plate and anti-electromagnetic-interference elastic sheets. The shell are provided with first limit holes. Anti-electromagnetic-interference elastic sheets on the divider plate are first anti-electromagnetic-interference elastic sheets. A plurality of the first positioning sheets extend from each metal sheet of each first anti-electromagnetic-interference elastic sheet. Each first positioning sheets is guided through a respective first limit hole and abuts against a respective one of the walls of the shell. Positioning sheet Anti-electromagnetic-interference elastic sheets disposed on the walls of the shell are second anti-electromagnetic-interference elastic sheets. A second positioning sheet extends from one of the two metal sheets of each second anti-electromagnetic-interference elastic sheet. Second limit holes are disposed on the walls of the shell. Each second positioning sheet is guided through a respective second limit hole and abuts against a respective wall of the shell.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR COMPENSATING FOR ALIEN CROSSTALK BETWEEN CONNECTORS
The present invention relates to methods and systems for minimizing alien crosstalk between connectors. Specifically, the methods and systems relate to isolation and compensation techniques for minimizing alien crosstalk between connectors for use with high-speed data cabling. A frame can be configured to receive a number of connectors. Shield structures may be positioned to isolate at least a subset of the connectors from one another. The connectors can be positioned to move at least a subset of the connectors away from alignment with a common plane. A signal compensator may be configured to adjust a data signal to compensate for alien crosstalk. The connectors are configured to efficiently and accurately propagate high-speed data signals by, among other functions, minimizing alien crosstalk.
ELECTRIC CONNECTOR AND ELECTRIC CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
An electrical connector includes a housing and a number of mating modules assembled to the housing. The mating module includes conductive terminals, metal shield surrounding members and cables. The conductive terminal includes a tail portion and a mating portion. The conductive terminal extends along a mating direction. The metal shield surrounding member includes a sleeve portion surrounding a periphery of the mating portion. The cable includes a core electrically connected to the tail portion. Compared with the prior art, the electrical connector disclosed in the present disclosure is a cable electrical connector. Besides, the conductive terminal extends along the mating direction, thereby simplifying the structural design of the conductive terminal. The present disclosure also discloses an electrical connector assembly having the electrical connector.
