CONNECTOR SYSTEM WITH AIR FLOW
A receptacle includes a cooling channel that is positioned between a top port and a bottom port. A transfer member is positioned in the cooling channel and is configured to direct heat from an inserted plug module into the cooling channel Air flowing through the cooling channel acts to remove thermal energy from the receptacle. A connector system may include a plug module that can be inserted into such a receptacle and the plug module can include grooves to help allow for direct cooling of the plug module, even when inserted into the receptacle.
Stacked optical module cage with improved airflow to bottom ports
A housing with improved airflow is provided. The housing includes a cage dimensioned to hold two modules side-by-side in a lower compartment and a further two modules side-by-side in an upper compartment. The cage has a middle compartment between the lower compartment and the upper compartment, with a heatsink in the middle compartment in thermal contact with the two modules when the two modules are in the lower compartment. The middle compartment is ventilated through a first one or more apertures in each of two or more exterior walls of the cage, the middle compartment is further ventilated, when the upper compartment is unoccupied, through a second one or more apertures in an interior wall of the cage separating the middle compartment and the upper compartment, wherein the further two modules when occupying the upper compartment obstruct the second one or more apertures.

Radiofrequency filter with improved attenuation of common mode signals
A radiofrequency filter utilizing a common mode choke both as a traditional common mode choke as well as the inductance in a low pass filter. Filter topology as well as component selection is optimized for wide band operation. Common mode chokes allow differential currents to pass with little attenuation while common mode currents are effectively presented with an inductance in the common current path. This inductance is used in a low pass filter configuration to present an even higher attenuation to common mode currents. The use of multiple chokes and/or differing core materials contributes to wider band operation without pronounced resonances. The capacitance used in the low pass filter is connected in a way as to reduce its effect on the data signals while still being effective in filtering.

Cable connection system
A cable connection system. The cable connection system includes a rack, a base, and a coupling mechanism. The rack includes a first rack surface and a second rack surface perpendicular to the first rack surface, wherein the first rack surface is perpendicular to a raised floor surface, wherein the second rack surface is on, and parallel to, the raised floor surface. The base is coupled to cables connected to the rack, wherein the base includes a first base surface, a second base surface perpendicular to the first base surface, and an array of slots into which corresponding network servers are screwed into place. The coupling mechanism couples the base with the rack during a connect mode of operation. The coupling mechanism includes a group of base connectors on the first surface of the base and a group of rack connectors on the first surface of the rack.
