Connector
A housing of a connector has end faces at both ends thereof in a pitch direction. The end faces correspond to protruding blocks of a mating connector 50, respectively. Two guide members are distinct and separated from each other. Each of the guide members has a side portion and two supporting portions. The guide members correspond to the end faces, respectively. Accordingly, the side portion and the supporting portions correspond to one of the end faces. The side portion is located apart from the end face corresponding thereto in the pitch direction. The side portion, the supporting portions and the end face corresponding to the side portion form a receiving portion. The receiving portion guides and receives the protruding block corresponding to the end face forming the receiving portion when the connector and the mating connector are mated with each other.
CONNECTOR AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
A connector (1) according to the present disclosure includes: a first connector (10) including a pair of first contacts (30a) each of which includes a first contacting portion (34a) and that are attached to a first insulator (20); a second connector (50) including a pair of second contacts (70a) each of which includes a second contacting portion (74a) and that are attached to a second insulator (60), the second contacting portion (74a) being in contact with the first contacting portion (34a) in a fitted state; and a shield member that is attached to the first insulator (20) and the second insulator (60). The shield member includes: a first shield portion (45) and a second shield portion (82b) that are respectively disposed inside and outside in a first direction, which is perpendicular to a fitting direction, with respect to the first contacting portion (34a) and the second contacting portion (74a) that are in contact with each other in the fitted state; and a third shield portion (83b) that is disposed on a circuit board (CB2) side in the fitting direction.
Connector
A connector includes: a cylindrical terminal to be electrically connected with a cylindrical counterpart terminal; an internal terminal located in the cylindrical terminal; and a housing holding the cylindrical terminal. The cylindrical terminal has a contact portion configured by bending a plate-shaped conductor into a cylindrical shape to contact one edge portion of the conductor with the other edge portion of the conductor. The one edge portion has a recessed shape at its circumferential end portion by reducing its thickness outwardly in a radial direction of the cylindrical terminal to configure one reduced thickness portion. The other edge portion has a recessed shape at its circumferential end portion by reducing its thickness inwardly in the radial direction to configure the other reduced thickness portion. The contact portion is configured by overlapping the one reduced thickness portion and the other reduced thickness portion.
Compact multi-line connector
A multi-line electrical assembly that includes a multi-line cable (14), including a multiplicity of insulated conductive wires (59); and a multi-line electrical plug (16), physically connected to the cable. The plug has a housing (56) and a plurality of spaced-apart printed circuit hoards (PCBs, 48), housed in the housing and having a first end (47) that is connected to the cable and having a second end (46), separated from the first end. Further, the PCBs bear a plurality of conductive traces (50), at least some of the traces being electrically connected to the wires proximal to the first end. The traces terminate proximal to the second end.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WITH STOP FUNCTION
An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a number of first conductive terminals and a metal shell. The insulating body includes a first butting protrusion having a first slot. The metal shell is assembled to the insulating body along an assembling direction. The metal shell includes a top wall, a bottom wall, two side walls and a partition wall. The metal shell includes a first receiving cavity for receiving a first mating plug. The metal shell further includes an installation opening extending downwardly to receive the insulating body. The electrical connector includes a first stop portion provided on the first mating protrusion and adapted for stopping further insertion of the first mating plug.
Connector configurable for high performance
An electrical connector for high speed signals. The connector has multiple conductive elements that may serve as signal or ground conductors. A member formed with lossy material and conductive compliant members may be inserted in the connector. The conductive compliant members may be aligned with conductive elements of the connector configured as ground conductors. For a connector configured to carry differential signals, the ground conductors may separate pairs of signal conductors. The member may further include a conductive web, embedded within the lossy material, that interconnects the conductive compliant members. For a receptacle connector, the conductive elements may have mating contact portions aligned along opposing surfaces of a cavity. The conductive elements may have contact tails for attachment to a printed circuit board and intermediate portions connecting the mating contact portions and the contact tails. The conductive compliant members may press against the intermediate portions.
