ELECTRONIC DEVICE HAVING USB POWER DELIVERY FUNCTION

An electronic device having a universal serial bus (USB) power delivery function includes a connector, an electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuit, a power reception notification circuit, and a control circuit. The connector is coupled to a USB host. The connector includes a configuration channel (CC) pin. The power reception notification circuit is configured to turn on, in response to an enable signal, a pull-down path of a pull-down circuit of the ESD protection circuit. The configuration channel pin generates a pull-down voltage through the pull-down path of the pull-down circuit when the pull-down path is turned on. The control circuit is configured to send the enable signal to the power reception notification circuit when a trigger signal that meets a power reception condition is detected. The control circuit controls the connector to draw power from the USB host when the pull-down voltage of the connector is greater than a pull-down threshold.

An insertion detection device for plug pins in a socket and a safety socket. A connecting rod trigger assembly of the insertion detection device forms a linkage structure with a first elastic conductive connector. When the connecting rod trigger assembly moves from the conduction section to the disconnection section, it can ensure that the first elastic conductive connector and the second conductive connector are disconnected. Even if the first elastic conductive connector is deformed due to prolonged insertion of plug, it can be separated from the second conductive connector by moving the connecting rod trigger assembly, and its internal circuit is always in disconnected state. At least three insertion detection devices of the safety socket correspond to two pins of live wire and neutral wire.

Low-profile axisymmetric power connectors

Power connectors that are easy to connect, have a low profile, and can convey one or more data signals. One example can provide a power connector that is easy to connect by providing an axisymmetric connector receptacle and connector insert. Magnets can be used to help guide a connection between a connector insert and a connector receptacle. Canted springs can be used to provide a tactile response to the insertion of the connector insert into the connector receptacle and to help to secure the connector insert in place when mated with the connector insert. Keying or self-aligning features can be included on either or both the connector insert and the connector receptacle to help guide mating.

Sealed enclosure power control system

A sealed enclosure power control system for controlling power to an electrical component within an enclosure. The sealed enclosure power control system generally includes an electrical component within the sealed enclosure, a first connector on the sealed enclosure adapted to provide a sealed electrical interface to the electrical component. The first connector has at least one first connector conductor element, and the system further includes a battery within the sealed enclosure, and the system also has a second connector, wherein when the first connector and the second connector are connected together, electrical power from the battery is applied to the electrical component, and when the first connector and the second connector are not connected together, the electrical power is not applied to the electrical component.

Current transformer

A current transformer connector (10; 102) for connecting a current transformer of an electrical network to a protection relay via a current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104), is provided. The current transformer connector (10; 102) comprises first and second pairs (14, 20) of first and second current contacts (16, 18, 22, 24), each current contact pair (14, 20) being connectable in use to the current transformer so as to permit current flow from the electrical network through the current contact pairs (14, 20) to the protection relay. Each current contact pair (14, 20) is arranged to be in a short circuit configuration. The first current contact (16, 22) in each current contact pair (14, 20) is arranged to be independently moveable relative to the corresponding second current contact (18, 24) so that during initial insertion of the current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104) into the current transformer connector (10; 102) in use the first current contact (16) of the first current contact pair (14) is configured to separate from the second current contact (18) of the first current contact pair (14) to permit breaking of the short circuit configuration of the first current contact pair (14) and making of an electrical connection between the first current contact pair (14) and the current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104), while the second current contact pair (20) remains in the short circuit configuration. The first current contact (16, 22) in each current contact pair (14, 20) is further arranged to be independently moveable relative to the corresponding second current contact (18, 24) so that during further insertion of the current transformer data acquisition board (12; 104) into the current transformer connector (10; 102) in use the first current contact (22) of the second current contact pair (20) is configured to separate from the second current contact (24) of the second current contact pair (20) to permit breaking of the short circuit configuration of the second current contact pair (20).

Plug and socket device

A plug and socket device includes a plug, which can be inserted in a socket. The plug or the socket has a detection unit designed to detect the correct positioning of the plug in the socket. The detection unit has a switching element designed to be mechanically activated when the plug is correctly positioned.
