Socket connector
The disclosure provides a socket connector including a housing, a circuit board, an electronic device, a contact element, and a switch component. The housing has an insertion hole configured for an insertion of a plug connector. The circuit board is fixed in the insertion hole. The electronic component is disposed in the insertion hole. The contact element is located in the insertion hole. The contact element has a fixed end and a movable end, the fixed end is electrically connected to the circuit board, and the movable end is movable with respect to the circuit board. The switch component is movably located in the insertion hole and is in contact with the contact element. The switch component is configured to be movable by the plug connector so as to force the movable end of the contact element to electrically connect to or disconnect from the electronic component.
Motion Plug
An apparatus for transmission of electricity by conduction to a vehicle while in motion.
SEPARABLE LOADBREAK DESIGN WITH ENHANCED RATINGS
A new and improved separable loadbreak connector system capable of providing higher switching and fault close ratings by various means of dividing the arc energy within the connector system.
CONNECTOR SYSTEM, CONNECTOR, AND CONNECTION METHOD
A connector system is provided with a first connector including a first transmission line, and a second connector including a second transmission line. The second connector includes a processing unit configured to perform an information transmission process of creating information regarding verification, and transmitting the information to the first connector. The first connector includes: a switch configured to, in a state where the first connector and the second connector are connected to each other, select whether or not to electrically connect the first transmission line and the second transmission line to each other; a verification unit configured to perform a verification process of verifying the second connector, based on the information received from the second connector; and a control unit configured to control the switch, based on a result of the verification process.
Self-deactivating tethered interconnection system for power outlet
A self-deactivating tethered interconnection system for a power outlet is provided, in which a circuit breaker actuates to selectively disable transfer of electrical power supplied at a source side of the power outlet to a load side thereof. A conductive tether disposed at the load side transmits the electrical power transferred by the circuit breaker. A power connector coupled to the conductive tether is configured for interconnection with a load for delivery thereto of the electrical power transmitted by the conductive tether. A proving circuit coupled to the power connector and circuit breaker includes a sensing portion that detects an interconnection state of the power connector to the load, and a trip portion operating responsive to the sensing portion to selectively inhibit transfer of the supplied electrical power to the load side. The power connector and conductive tether are thus adaptively de-energized when interconnection with the load is interrupted.
SWITCHED PLUG
An electric plug having a switch for coupling a cable to a source of electric power. Electrically conductive prongs are configured to be coupled to the source of electric power when conductive prongs are inserted into an electric power outlet. A switch disposed within the plug electrically couples the plurality of prongs to the cable only after the prongs are electrified by the source of electric power.
Attachment Housing Arrangement and Method for Unlocking
Plug connections and in particular plug connections for use in an industrial environment are presented. An attachment housing arrangement has an attachment housing for accommodating a hood of a plug connector with plug contacts and a mechanical locking arrangement for mechanically locking the hood on the attachment housing. Also presented is a method for unlocking a mechanical locking of a hood of a plug connector with plug contacts on an attachment housing of an attachment housing arrangement. The attachment housing arrangement is provided with a fixing arrangement for fixing the mechanical locking arrangement at least in a locking state, and with a control unit for controlling the fixing arrangement, the control unit being configured to control the fixing arrangement so as to release a fixing of the locking arrangement only when the plug contacts are free of current and free of voltage within predefined tolerances.
Electrical Plug-In Connector
The invention relates to an electrical plug-in connector, in particular for the combined transmission of data and electrical power, comprising a housing, comprising a plurality of first contact areas for connection to matching contact areas of a further plug-in connector, comprising a plurality of electrically conductive conductor arrangements in the housing and comprising a plurality of connection contacts for connection to a line which leads to the plug-in connector, wherein in each case a first contact area is connected to a connection contact by means of a conductor arrangement, wherein at least one of the conductor arrangements has means for disconnecting and closing an electrically conductive connection using this conductor arrangement.
CONNECTOR UNIT FOR A PLUG-IN ELECTRICAL VEHICLE
A connector unit for a plug-in electrical vehicle includes a first set of terminals for connection with a high-voltage energy storage, a second set of terminals for connection with an electrical propulsion motor, a connector interface having electrical connectors and being configured for temporarily receiving a corresponding connector interface of a charging connector during charging of the high-voltage energy storage of the plug-in electrical vehicle, and a permanent or temporary electrical connection between the first set of terminals and the second set of terminals.
Electrical/mechanical switching module
An electrical/mechanical switching having a first terminal and a second terminal. The first terminal is a neutral terminal and has a first terminal power engagement tab and a first terminal engagement tab with a first terminal copper dimple. The second terminal is a neutral terminal and has a second terminal mating engagement tab and a second terminal engagement tab with a second terminal copper dimple. A cam member is provided proximate the first terminal engagement tab and is movable between a first position and a second position to move the first terminal engagement tab into electrical and mechanical engagement with the second terminal engagement tab. An opening projection is provided proximate the first terminal engagement tab and the second terminal engagement tab and is movable between a first position and a second position to separate the first terminal engagement tab and the second terminal engagement tab.
