Electronic device and a method for detecting the connecting direction of two electronic components
An electronic device includes a first electronic component and a second electronic component. The first electronic component includes a control unit and a first connector. A first pin group of the first connector includes an even number of first detect pins. Two of the first detect pins are respectively located at the two ends of the first connector. The second electronic component includes a second connector that matches with the first connector. A second pin group of the second connector includes an even number of second detect pins. When the first connector is electrically connected to the second connector, each of the first detect pins is electrically connected to each of the second detect pins to form a conductive path. All of the first detection pins and the second detection pins connected with one another in series form the conductive path. And a first end of the conductive path is coupled to ground via one of the first detect pins. A second end of the conductive path is coupled to the control unit via another one of the first detect pins.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device has a first terminal for receiving power from a connected external device, a second terminal for obtaining information of the external device, and a GND terminal connected to the second terminal. The electronic device causes a resistance between the second terminal and the GND terminal to change, and determines a type of the external device based on a voltage of the first terminal after the resistance is caused to change.
Jumper switch for an HVAC wall mountable connector
A wall mountable connector for securing a thermostat to a wall may include a plurality of wiring terminals as well as structure enabling an installer or other person to easily electrically connect (e.g. jumper) two or more of the wiring terminals in order to accommodate different equipment installations. For example, in some cases there may be a desire to electrically connect (e.g. jumper) or disconnect certain wiring terminals that correspond to transformer input terminals, which in some equipment installations are intended to be independently powered while in others they are not. In some cases, the wall mountable connector may include a slider with a cam that selectively lifts a conductor to disconnect two or more wiring terminals. The wall mountable connector may also include structure that helps prevent electrically connecting field wires to particular wiring terminals in error, depending on the position of the slider.
Wall mountable connector with built in jumper functionality
A wall mountable connector for securing a thermostat to a wall is disclosed. The wall mountable connector may include built in jumper functionality. In some cases, the wall mountable connector may include a plurality of wiring terminals as well as structure enabling an installer or other person to easily electrically connect (e.g. jumper) one or more of the wiring terminals in order to accommodate different equipment installations. For example, in some cases there may be a desire to electrically connect (e.g. jumper) or disconnect certain wiring terminals that correspond to transformer input terminals, which in some equipment installations are intended to be independently powered while in others they are not.
Switchable RJ45/ARJ45 Jack
A communication connector has a housing for receiving a communication plug, a printed circuit within the housing, a switch which actuates the printed circuit board, and a translating crossbar which engages the switch. The printed circuit board is moved dependent upon a type of plug inserted. The movement of the circuit board can help to selectively engage one of two sets of circuit traces and groupings of contacts.
Power conversion device
To effectively suppress radiation and mixture of noise superimposed on a power line into a connection detection line. A power conversion device includes a connector having a wiring line which transmits DC power; and a housing in which the connector is arranged. The connector has a connection detection wiring line which detects whether the connector is connected with an external circuit. An opening part which connects with the connector is formed in the housing. An annular core formed of a magnetic substance is inserted through the opening part. The annular core is an annular member formed with a through-hole. The wiring line and the connection detection wiring line are introduced into an inside of the housing through the through-hole of the annular core.
Modular inserted connector detecting structure
The present invention is a modular inserted connector detecting structure, which comprises a connector (such as USB connector) having an insulation body and multiple signal terminals, wherein two sides of the insulation body may have a first and a second detection modules joined therewith, or one surface of the insulation body is provided with a detection module thereon. Thereby, in assembly, the first and second detection modules may be used to join the two sides of the insulation body directly, or a scarfing seat of the detection module may be used to join on the insulation body, in order to achieve the effects of easy structure, convenient assembly, robust joining and facility to produce and manufacture.
SYSTEM FOR ESTABLISHING A CONDUCTIVE CONNECTION
A system for establishing a conductive connection with a plurality of contacts including at least one protective earth contact and power contacts. The at least one protective earth contact is hardwired. The power contacts are assigned to at least two different potentials which include a first potential and a second potential. A switching unit is provided, which is assigned at least to first power contacts of the power contacts. The switching unit is set up to connect at least the first power contacts selectively to the first potential or the second potential.
Towed vehicle wiring adapter with load switching
An electrical adapter device for connecting a primary electrical system of a towing vehicle to a secondary electrical system of a towed vehicle includes an adapter primary connector, a second end, and a semiconductor device. The adapter primary connector is operable to detachably couple with a primary connector and comprises a primary electrical terminal. The second end is adapted to removably couple with a secondary connector and thereby electrically connect a secondary electrical system to a primary electrical system. The second end includes a secondary electrical terminal electrically connected to the primary electrical terminal. The semiconductor device is configured to switch between a first state in which the semiconductor device connects the primary electrical terminal to a resistive load and a second state in which the semiconductor device disconnects the primary electrical terminal from the resistive load.
