One-piece electrical fitting for snap connection

A one-piece electrical fitting for connecting an electrical cable to a junction box, the electrical fitting formed from a single, flat blank of metal into a cylindrical connector body. The connector body includes a leading end having an exit bore, a trailing end, a cap, an inner bore, and one or more combination tangs including grounding tangs, locking tangs, and flanges extending radially outward from the connector body. According to one embodiment, the trailing end of the fitting includes a rolled edge, and the leading end includes a recessed lip for accommodating an insulating liner within the exit bore. The exit bore in the cap is offset to one side with cable retaining tangs on the fitting configured to push toward the exit bore in order to ease insertion of cables and conductors through the fitting. In a further embodiment, the fitting includes two combination tangs that are positioned 180 degrees apart radially on the fitting body to facilitate easier snap-in insertion into the knockout hole of an electrical box.

Backing plate for mounting and sealing an electrical connector to an intermediate surface

A backing plate, a corresponding electrical connector for mating with the backing plate, an electrical header, and an assembly thereof are described herein. The backing plate has an inner portion having a first thickness and an outer portion having a second thickness that is greater than the first thickness. The outer portion surrounds a perimeter of the inner portion and forms a cavity within the backing plate for acceptance of the electrical header. The backing plate also contains a connector attachment portion configured to attach the backing plate to the electrical connector and an intermediate surface attachment portion configured to attach the backing plate to the intermediate surface.

An electronic connector panel that mounts on a wall of a device housing. The electronic connector panel has at least two integrated electric connectors, the housings of which are interconnected by a common mounting plate. There is at least one contact member for each electric connector as well as at least one contact element per contact member. A flat sealing member with openings for both connectors may be used between the connector panel and the wall of the device.

Optical Fiber Connector

Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to an optical fiber connector. The optical fiber connector comprises at least one ferrule, at least one ferrule spring, a connector housing for holding at least one ferrule and at least one ferrule spring such that at least one ferrule spring is loaded to urge the at least one ferrule forward. The connector housing comprises an upper wall portion, the upper wall portion comprising a recess running lengthwise. The optical fiber connector further comprises a remote release comprising a front portion slidably received in the recess, and the remote release is configured to be pulled backward in relation to the connector housing whereby the front portion slides in the recess for releasing the optical fiber connector from a mating adapter.

SINGLE PAIR CONNECTOR MODULE

A connector module is disclosed having physical dimensions for being installed into standardized, or pre-existing, structures such as a patch panel including pre-populated slot openings. The connector module provides simple field termination for different sized single pair cables using screw-down/cage-clamp for the bare single pair of conductors emerging from a centralized power equipment to be a pluggable mating connector terminating the field wires.

The ceiling holder (3) may be manufactured of a number of materials, and depending of the chosen material, the thickness of the ceiling holder may differ. The connector housing (5) is adapted to be able to attach to ceiling holders of two different material thicknesses, in the first event, when the ceiling holder is manufactured of a thicker material thickness, the first and second clips (18, 19) engage with the ceiling holder (3), and in the second event, when the ceiling holder (3) is manufactured of a thicker material, at least one of the first and second abutment protrusions (25, 26) and the second clip (19) engage with the ceiling holder (3).

TELECOMMUNICATIONS PATCH PANEL WITH ANGLED CONNECTOR MODULES

The present disclosure relates generally to a telecommunications patch panel comprising a connector module and a frame member. The connector module has a front face and an opposite facing rear face. The front face includes a connector jack for receiving a plug of a first conductive wire. The rear face includes a connection location for connecting to a second conductive wire. The connector module defines an axis of rotation generally parallel to the front face. The frame member has a front face and a plurality of tabs on the front face. The connector module is rotatably mounted to the frame member for movement about the rotation axis, and the plurality of tabs engage with the rear face of the connector module to prevent over-rotation of the connector module.

The electrical receptacle unit further includes a locking bracket that includes a central portion having first and second ends, a lock tab extending from a side of the central portion, and a pair of support arms, each extending forwardly from a respective one of the first and second ends. The locking bracket is pivotably secured to the plate, with at least a portion of each support arm positioned within a respective notched area of the plate. The locking bracket is pivotable relative to the plate between a first position, whereby a plug electrically seated within the socket is unobstructed, and a second position, whereby the plug electrically seated within the socket is obstructed from removal by the lock tab.
