An electrical connector assembly has a first connector, to which a cable is connected, a second connector, which is mounted to a mounting face of a support member and into/from which the first connector is inserted/removed, and an intermediate member that prevents disengagement of the first connector from the second connector. The intermediate member has a mountable portion mounted directly, or mounted indirectly through an intermediary member, to the second connector, and a locking portion that prevents upward disengagement of the first connector, and, while the mountable portion is mounted to the second connector, the intermediate member is enabled for operational movement relative to the second connector between an open position that allows for the insertion/removal of the first connector into or from the second connector and a locked position in which disengagement of the first connector is prevented by the locking portion.

Angled connector and method of assembling an angled connector

An angled connector includes a connector housing, a terminal support held by the connector housing, and a first terminal held in the terminal support. The connector housing has a first terminal passage and a second terminal passage extending at an angle to the first terminal passage. The first terminal passage and the second terminal passage intersect one another in an intersection region. The terminal support is slidable relative to the connector housing along the first terminal passage from a first position to a second position. The first terminal at least partially extends into the first terminal passage. The first terminal is closer to the second terminal passage in the second position than in the first position, and the first terminal is at least partially arranged in the intersection region in the second position.

Device and method for locking multiple angular connectors

A device for securing at least two angular connectors includes a first component, which includes at least two first openings; at least two second openings defined through a perimeter wall structure, which extends about the first wall structure; and at least two wall members including at least two first channels. Each of the at least two wall members extend between one of the at least two second openings and one of the at least two first openings. A second component positioned below the first component includes a second wall structure defining at least two third openings, at least two second channels extending between one of the at least two third openings and one of the at least a two fourth openings of second perimeter wall. Each of the at least second channels slope extending downwardly toward the second perimeter wall facilitating drainage of moisture.

A method and apparatus is presented for strain relief for mil-spec RF cabling connectors. When the RF signals are carried on the cables, they are either attached to connectors to increase their lengths or they get attached to hardware assembly that receives and transmits RF signals. At connections, strain relief is provided so that any movement of the cables does not convey stress and strain to the points where cable joins the connector or its mate. A concise, space restricted strain relief solution is provided by use of clamp, cover or shrink tubing to transfer cables in all four directions. The concentric cables line up in small dimensions and are replaceable individually as opposed to discard of entire mesh of cables on single cable failure.

The present invention provides a coaxial connector capable of reducing harness processing steps. A coaxial connector includes a contact by three-point contact, a housing including a first and a second connection base, and a shell including a cylindrical portion accommodating the first connection base and an extension portion accommodating the second connection base. The central conductor of a cable is placed on an installation surface of a contact located in a predetermined part of a housing, and a crimp housing with a slot cut out to allow pressure on the periphery of the center conductor is used. The crimp housing is held in the housing and enclosed and tightened by a pair of crimp barrels (the first barrel) provided in the shell. This allows the central conductor to be securely crimped to the installation surface of the contact.
