Corrugated cable co-axial connector

The corrugated cable co-axial connector includes a connection body (1), having an internal thread (12) in a connector through hole (11); a clamping nut (2), having a central through hole (21), having a cable end and a clamping end in an axial direction of the central through hole (21) which are opposite to each other, and having an external thread (22) at the clamping end; an annular elastic clip (3) which is axially slidingly fitted into the central through hole (21) of the clamping nut (2); and a resilient ring (4) sleeved around the annular elastic clip (3) and located between the clamping end of the clamping nut (2) and the annular elastic clip (3). When a corrugated cable (10) having a corrugated outer conductor (102) is received in the central through hole (21) of the clamping nut (2), the connector body (1) applies at least a radial inward force to the annular elastic clip (3) by the engagement of the external thread (22) and the internal thread (12), to lock the corrugated cable (10) in the annular elastic clip (3). The connector is simple to manufacture and is convenient to use. At the same time, it is able to ensure the reliable cable connection and is suitable for repeated use.

Each spring finger is separated from each of its immediately adjacent spring fingers by a slot. Each of the projections has opposed side edge portions, and wherein the side edge portions incline with increasing distance from an adjacent slot.

The cable connector can gain excellent third order intermodulation performance and high frequency transmission performance.

The assembled connector has a spring ring, a shell, and a insulator along a longitudinal axis. The spring ring has a base from which two insertion tabs extend coaxial with the axis. The insulator has a joining wall and a springing feature. The shell has a through opening coaxial with the axis. The insertion tabs retain the spring ring in the shell's through opening, and the springing feature retains the insulator in the shell's through opening. The insertion tabs of the spring ring have hook latches extending past the insulator that lock the connector in the panel. And the base of the spring ring has a hole to receive the cable where first and second clamping tabs clampably lock the cable in the connector.

A coaxial cable-connector assembly comprising: (a) a coaxial cable; (b) a coaxial connector; (c) a rear body; and (d) a coupling nut. The coaxial cable comprises: an inner conductor; a dielectric layer circumferentially surrounding the inner conductor; an outer conductor circumferentially surrounding the dielectric layer; and a jacket circumferentially surrounding the outer conductor. The coaxial connector comprises: an inner contact electrically connected with the inner conductor; an outer body spaced apart from and circumferentially surrounding the inner contact; and a dielectric spacer interposed between the inner contact and the outer body. The rear body has a main section, a rear collet extending rearwardly from the main section, and a front engagement structure that coordinates with the outer body to engage the outer conductor. The nut has a threaded section and a tapered inner surface. Engagement of the nut with a threaded section on one of the rear body and the outer body advances the nut forwardly so that the tapered inner surface of the nut deflects the rear collet to engage the cable jacket.
