Noise dampening tongues for use in a seat belt restraining system and methods of making the same

A noise dampening tongue assembly for use as part of a seat belt restraining system includes a base plate, a cover material, and a soft touch material. The base plate has a surface with a lower portion for engagement with a clamping member and an upper portion with a slot through which a belt webbing extends. The lower portion defines a bottom perimeter for the tongue assembly. The cover material contacts the base plate, such that it defines at least a portion of a top perimeter, a front-side, and a back-side of the tongue assembly. The soft touch material contacts the surface of the cover material, such that the soft touch material defines at least a portion of a right perimeter and left perimeter of the tongue assembly and extends horizontally across the surface of the cover material to connect the soft touch material located at right and left perimeters.

BUCKLE, IN PARTICULAR BELT BUCKLE

A buckle with a first buckle part and at least one second buckle part. The first buckle part has a first buckle main body and a receptacle which is hook-shaped, seen in at least one section, and formed rigidly on the first buckle main body. The second buckle part has a second buckle main body with an inherently rigid hook-in part for hooking into the receptacle of the first buckle part, and the first buckle part additionally has at least one bolt. The hook-in part has a central web and two side parts protruding on mutually opposite sides from the central web, and each of the side parts is delimited by a respective front edge, and the front edges of the side parts are oriented extending obliquely away from each other at least regionally from a direction of the central web, preferably running at least regionally in a V-shape relative to each other.

Tongue for a seat belt

A plug-in tongue for a seatbelt includes a plug-in tongue component (10) and a clamping member (12) mounted thereto, wherein a belt guide passage (30) is delimited between the plug-in tongue component (10) and the clamping member (12), and the clamping member (12) comprises a center part (18) and two lateral parts (20) extending from the two ends of the center part (18) transversely to the latter. The plug-in tongue is characterized in that the center part (18) includes a central guide surface (32) located between the two lateral parts (20), and the two lateral parts (20) include lateral guide surfaces (34) facing each other, the guide surfaces (32, 34) constituting limitations of the belt guide passage (30).

Seat belt latch plate assembly with two-shot noise dissipating bumpers

A seat belt latch plate assembly includes a latch plate and a latch plate cover carried on the latch plate. That latch plate cover is made by means of a two-shot injection molding process and includes integral bumpers that are made from a soft, sound dissipating material and have an energy absorbing cross-sectional shape.

Electronic seatbelt

A seatbelt buckle that includes a housing, an attracting member, an attractable element, and a plate adapted to retain a seatbelt clip within the housing. The member, the element, and the plate may be carried by the housing. The buckle is adapted so that when the member is electronically actuated, the element causes the plate to move toward the member and thereby release the clip.

Child's safety belt connection buckle

A child's safety belt connection buckle with a belt buckle inserted into an inserting space in an inserting base in the horizontal direction, and locked by a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism has a sliding member capable of moving reciprocally along the horizontal direction, and a locking member capable of moving reciprocally in a direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction. The locking mechanism has a locking position and an unlocking position. When the locking mechanism is at the locking position, the belt buckle is pressed against the sliding member, and the locking member is buckled with the belt buckle. When the locking mechanism is at the unlocking position, the locking member is separated from the belt buckle and pressed against the sliding member.

Safety buckle for a child seat

A seat buckle that accommodates different types and styles of child seats. The standard platform can be used across a variety of baby to child seats. The belt has a button on the front, with a safety mechanism on the back that must be articulated to enable activation of the belt buckle. The buckle may take the configuration of an adapter allows a parent to install the safety buckle for a child seat. Adapter on a pre-existing seat. The belt ideally configured for a Y style buckle where straps extend over each shoulder and a single strap passes between the legs of the child. This allows the safety to pass or be blocked between the two belt buckle components of the shoulder straps. This also accommodates most of the buckles that are being produced.

Belt tongue comprising a torsion bar

A belt tongue (1) having a tongue body (3) extending in an insertion direction (2), a clamping element (4) in the tongue body such that a belt strap (7) guided through a cavity (5) in the tongue body (3) and running through a gap (6) can be moved through the tongue body (3) in an unstressed free-running position and, in a stressed position brought about by a tensile force in the belt strap (7), is clamped on a clamping edge (8) of the cavity (5) by the clamping element (4) that is pivotally mounted in the tongue body (3). A pre-tensioning device exerts a retractive force on the clamping element (4), at least in the stressed position, the force being oriented in the direction of the free-running position of the clamping element (4). The pre-tensioning device is a torsion bar (13) that is non-rotatably secured in the tongue body (3) and non-rotatably connected to the clamping element (4).

Buckle device

At a present buckle device, lateral slits are formed in lateral portions of a slider of a buckle switch. A tab is formed at a portion, which is further toward a device upper side than the lateral slit, of a lateral portion that is at a device left side. A portion, which is further toward a device lower side than the lateral slit, at the lateral portion is an elastic portion, and a magnet is held thereat. Therefore, even if the tab receives pushing force from an ejector and is deformed, deformation arising at the elastic portion can be suppressed, and holding of the magnet can be stabilized.

Pivoting latch plate for seatbelt

A seatbelt latch plate assembly includes a latch plate, a D-ring, and a pivot stop. The D-ring is pivotably connected to the latch plate. The pivot stop is disposed between and rotatably fixes the latch plate to the D-ring. The pivot stop includes a deformable element. The deformable element is deformable at a predetermined pivot torque between the D-ring and the plate.
