Electrical service adapter for supply side interconnect
An assembly or adapter configured to provide a supply-side interconnect of electrical power to a distribution board. The adapter may be incorporated internal or external to the distribution board, by occupying the space of one or more circuit breakers, inserting an adapter into a meter termination socket, or the like. The adapter includes terminals provided to route the conductors from the utility to a breakout panel (or subpanel) for adding power devices as a supply side interconnect, and back to a regular route that may go through the meter and/or the main circuit breaker, and on to the loads. A switching component may provide an inline configuration that configures the conductors for backup function, and a parallel configuration that is a parallel interconnecting route when utility service is available.

Apparatus for Latching and Unlatching an Electrical Function-Related Module and Method for Unlatching an Electrical Function-Related Module
The invention provides a device for latching and unlatching an electrical function-related module as well as a method for unlatching such a function-related module. The device includes a first latching device and a second latching device, each latching device having at least one latching tooth which can be inserted into the at least one retaining opening for latching the electrical function-related module. The at least one latching tooth of the first latching device and the at least one latching tooth of the second latching device face away from each other and can be moved away from each other for latching the electrical function-related module and can be moved towards each other for unlatching the electrical function-related module. The device further includes a first carriage element, which is linearly movable along a first axis of movement, a second carriage element, which can be moved linearly along a second axis of movement, a first converting device which converts a linear movement of the first carriage element along the first axis of movement into a linear movement of the second carriage element along the second axis of movement perpendicular to the first, and a second converting device, which converts the linear movement of the second carriage element into a movement of the latching teeth, which belong to different latching devices, towards each other or away from each other.
In-wall power adapter having a switch and a connector for controlling the application of a voltage
An in-wall power adapter adapted to receive a voltage is described. The in-wall power adapter may comprise a first plurality of contact elements comprising a first contact element adapted to receive a line voltage and a second contact element adapted to be coupled to a load; a recess adapted to receive a control module; a second plurality of contact elements associated with the recess and comprising a third contact element coupled to the first contact element and a fourth contact element coupled to the second contact element; a switch coupled to receive the line voltage at a first terminal by way of the first contact element; and a connector coupled between a second terminal of the switch and the second contact element; wherein the connector is in a closed position when no control module is in the recess.

In-wall power adapter having a switch and a recess adapted to receive a control module
An in-wall power adapter adapted to receive a voltage is described. The in-wall power adapter may comprise a first plurality of contact elements comprising a first contact element adapted to receive a line voltage signal, a second contact element adapted to receive a neutral voltage, a third contact element adapted to receive a ground voltage, and a fourth contact element adapted to receive a communication signal; a recess adapted to receive a control module; a switch having a first terminal coupled to receive the line voltage; and a second plurality of contact elements associated with the recess and comprising a fifth contact element adapted to receive the communication signal.
Panelboard breaker compartment with disconnect features
A circuit breaker may be plugged into a breaker compartment in a panelboard without making a connection to a power bus of the panel board. A tool may be inserted into the breaker compartment to operate movable contacts that connect, or disconnect, the circuit breaker from the power bus without de-energizing the power line network. Inserting the tool into the breaker compartment first causes a trip actuator to trip the circuit breaker.
