The invention relates to a pressure relief device (1) for a housing (2) which is protected against explosions, in particular is compression-proof and has a wall connecting piece (3) which can be at least partially inserted into a housing opening (4) of a housing wall (6) by its insertion connecting piece section (5), which can be in particular detachably fixed from an inner side of the housing and rests from the outside on an opening edge (8) of the housing opening (4) in its inserted and fixed position with a radially outwardly projecting support flange (7), wherein the insertion connecting piece section (5) furthermore comprises a projecting connecting piece section (9) which is opposite the insertion connecting piece section relative to the support flange (7) and comprises a longitudinal conduit (10) running through the wall connecting piece (3) into which conduit a flame-blocking body (11) is replaceably inserted, wherein a pressure nut (13) which loads the flame blocking body (11) with pressure in its insertion position and with a pressure edge (14) projecting radially inward at least in sections can be screwed onto a free end section (12) of the projecting connecting piece section (9), and wherein the pressure edge (14) contacts an outer viewing side of the flame blocking body (11).

BUS DUCT FIRESTOP SYSTEM

A firestop system for fire stopping a bus duct that passes through an opening in a marine deck or a marine bulkhead includes a boot seal wrapped around the bus duct housing. The boot seal has a top end attached to the bus duct, and a bottom end attached to the division. The boot seal is made of flexible material to allow for movement of the bus duct relative to the division due to vibration. The boot seal may be made of a thermal barrier wrap or other high-temperature insulating mat materials to allow heat generated under normal condition to escape while providing firestopping and temperature resistance under fire exposure conditions. The firestop system may also have a gasket positioned between the bus duct and the boot seal to accommodate irregularities in the outside surface of the bus duct housing.

A firestop collar (10) for sealing of openings, especially of line penetrations (12), that pass through walls (11) or ceilings has a frame (16) and a block (20) of optionally intumescent material disposed therein, and is characterized in that an intumescent inlay (22) is disposed between the block (20) and the frame (16).

Water mist protection for forced ventilation interstitial spaces

Water mist fire protection systems and methods for the protection of data centers having a raised floor defining an interstitial space beneath the floor. The systems and methods include the location of a plurality of automatic water mist nozzles above and/or beneath the floor to generate a water mist for effectively addressing a fire in the presence of a flow of forced air ventilation through the interstitial space. The systems and methods of water mist fire protection include the interconnection of the automatic water mist nozzles to a water supply to provide for dry pipe or preaction systems and methods. Water mist fire protection of data centers using fire propagating cable is also provided.

Fire-rated three-way splice assembly

A three-way splice assembly for splicing together a first cable, a second cable, and a third cable. The assembly includes an exterior enclosure, an interior enclosure positioned within the exterior enclosure, and an insulation layer positioned between the exterior enclosure and the interior enclosure. The assembly also includes a first port, a second port, and a third port, each extending from the exterior enclosure, through the insulation layer, and into the interior enclosure and each sized to receive one of the first cable, the second cable, and the third cable, respectively. The assembly further includes a terminal configured to electrically connect a respective conductor from the first cable, the second cable, and the third cable to form a three-way splice, and a fuse configured to be electrically connected between the terminal and one of the conductors of the first cable, the second cable, and the third cable.

FIRE PROTECTION ELEMENT

A fire protection element is useful for the separation of openings passing through walls or ceilings, in particular of line passages. The fire protection element has a molded part made from intumescent material with a plurality of through-openings for the passage of lines which extend in particular parallel to each other from a first side to an opposite second side of the fire protection element. In each case, the through-openings for the passage are tightly sealed relative to flue gas by a membrane.
