Modular conduit cable management assembly
A modular conduit cable management assembly is used with tall vertical structures for holding and managing one or more cables, with the assembly having a plurality of conduit members and a plurality of removable closure members. Each conduit member has at least one retaining arm, a plurality of prongs, an anchor, and a core, with each conduit member defining a slot opening, a plurality of apertures, a holding cavity forming a conduit track, and a receiving chamber. Once assembled, one or more cables can be installed within the conduit track, with at least one of the closure members closing the conduit member slot opening. The cables and each conduit track may be accessed at a later time after removing the closure member.
Carbon fiber based tubing encapsulated cable
Tubing encapsulated cable consists of one or more electrical conductors and possibly one or more fiber optic cables sheathed in a corrosion resistant metallic alloy. However, pumping during the installation of tubing encapsulated cable is required to overcome the capstan effect of the tubing encapsulate cable inside the coil tubing as the tubing encapsulated cable travels through the coiled up wraps of coil tubing. In an embodiment of the invention the tubing encapsulated cable consists of one or more electrical conductors and possibly one or more fiber optic cables sheathed in a fiber reinforced composite sheath. Because there is little drag between the fiber encapsulated cable and the coil tubing, conventional pumping operations used to install braided wireline into coil tubing may not be required when installing fiber encapsulated cable into coil tubing. Additionally, the smooth outside surface and relatively small diameter of the fiber encapsulated cable are desirable attributes for well intervention work because the smooth surface is more resistant to chemical attack than braided wire while the smooth surface and relatively small diameter provide little viscous drag while fluids are pumped through the coil tubing in the course of intervention operations.
Fitting connections for corrosion resistant electrical conduits
A push-lock coupler includes an annular metal insert with a coaxial profile complementary to a conduit; a cylindrical polymeric housing molded over the annular metal insert and having a first and second end and an inner surface; and wherein the first and second end are capable of deforming to the coaxial profile of the conduit inserted into either the first or second end, and the inner surface of the cylindrical polymeric housing has at least one groove disposed between the annular metal insert and the first end.
CLADDING TUBE FOR ENVELOPING AN UNDERWATER CONDUIT
A dadding tube (1) for enveloping an underwater conduit (2), such as a pipeline or a cable line, has at least one clamping portion (6), which comprises at least one deformation portion (6A, 6B, 6C) being integrally manufactured with the cladding tube (1), which deformation portion (6A, 6B, 6C) is a first wall portion of the cladding tube (1), which has a larger thickness in the radial direction than at least one second wall portion (8) of the clamping portion concerned, in such manner that by said larger thickness the first wall portion is, and the at least one second wall portion (8) is not, pressed against the underwater conduit (2) by a tensioning strap (7) being tensioned all round. The deformation portion concerned is easy to produce, durable and reliable. Thanks to the at least one clamping portion the dadding tube can be designed in harder and lower-cost materials than the soft, flexible poly urethane, which is usually applied nowadays.
PASSIVE INTERMODULATION TEST LEAD
The invention is directed to a cable assembly (1) comprising a coaxial cable (2) with an inner conductor (3) and a shield (4) and a dielectric (5) arranged between the inner conductor (3) and the shield (4). The cable assembly (1) further comprises an outer jacket (7) which encompasses the coaxial cable (2). One or several spacers (10) are arranged between the coaxial cable (2) and the outer jacket (7) such that the outer jacket (7) and the coaxial cable (2) are spaced a distance apart.
Wire harness
A wire harness is provided with an electrically conductive path, a tubular sheath member which accommodates the electrically conductive path in an inner part, and a sheet member positioned between at least a part of a circumferential direction of the electrically conductive path and an inner peripheral surface of the sheath member. The sheet member may be wound on the electrically conductive path so as to cover an entire area in the circumferential direction. The sheet member may be intermittently arranged in an axial direction of a tube of the sheath member.
Unknown
Adhesive tapes, especially for lengthwise jacketing of elongate items such as cable harnesses in motor vehicles and methods for producing and using said adhesive tapes are disclosed. Each adhesive tape comprises a carrier having a width B.sub.T based on the cross direction and at least one layer of adhesive applied on a bottom side of the carrier, wherein the adhesive layer bearing a second carrier, which has a lower width B.sub.Schutz than the width B.sub.T of the first carrier. The first carrier with the adhesive layer protrudes two-sidedly relative to the side edges of the second carrier, where the first protrusion has a width of B.sub.Start and the second protrusion has a width of B.sub.Hülle. The first carrier is a woven fabric having a basis weight of 50 to 200 g/m.sup.2 and the second carrier is a textile carrier having a basis weight of 300 to 1000 g/m.sup.2.
MODULAR WIRE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES AND METHODS
Modular wire management systems may include connectors configured for mounting on a base and for connecting to extension members, thereby connecting extension members to one another, to form a framework for managing and routing wires at one or more heights above the base. The systems may further include securing members configured to secure wires to the framework. Modularity may be provided in that every extension member may be connectable to every connector, and every connector may be connectable to every extension member. Connections may be achieved by secure but detachable friction fit, providing both stability and easy reconfigurability. Flexibility of configurability may be provided by a wide range of different kinds of connectors. Connectors may be provided with non-electrically conductive mounting portions for connecting to the base. Apparatuses and methods are also provided.
Conduit and end fitting for offshore cable assembly
