A cable management apparatus can include a first surface configured for working and a second surface having a channel integrally formed into the apparatus material at the second surface. The channel can have sidewalls, extend longitudinally in a direction parallel to the second surface, have a longitudinal channel opening at the second surface along a substantial portion of the channel, and can be configured to hold a cable therein even when the channel opening faces downward. The cable may be curved within the channel to create elastic potential energy in the cable, and a friction force between the curved cable pushing against the channel sidewalls can hold the cable in place within the channel. The channel may form a cross-section having an undercut that is defined by ledge portions at the channel opening, and the ledge portions can hold the cable in place within the channel.

FLOOR BOX AND METHOD OF INSTALLING

A floor box for housing electrical components includes a bottom and a plurality of walls extending from the bottom to at least partially define an interior and to at least partially define a central opening accessible to a user. A top plate having an inner portion at least partially defining a first wiring compartment facing the central opening and a second wiring compartment facing the central opening is connected to at least one of the plurality of walls.

The cables may provide connectivity to receptacles of the raceway and thus a variety of devices. A cover may be utilized with the housing to facilitate access to the cables in the cavity of the housing. In some implementations, the cover may be retained by flexible arms of the housing. The raceway may be configured to receive wire clips to retain cables and/or conduit disposed in a cavity of the raceway.

The walls define an interior space of the body structure. A plurality of ports are formed in the top wall and a plurality of ports are formed in the bottom wall with each port opening into the interior space. One or more of the top wall ports is longitudinally aligned with a respective bottom wall port to form a port pair. A diverter is positioned in the interior space and extends in the interior space from one side wall and toward an opposing side wall. The diverter spans between the port pair. The diverter has a diverter surface that is configured for directing an element that extends through a port of the port pair toward an area in the body structure.

A bracket system for mounting an electrical box and other components can include a mounting bracket configured to be removably secured to a support bar or a threaded rod. The mounting bracket can include a plurality of spring arms that can be manually moved towards each other to insert locking profiles of the spring arms into one or more mounting openings of the electrical box. Once the locking profiles are inserted, the spring arms can be released so that they spring resiliently apart from each other and secure the locking profiles against removal from mounting openings.

The two-part secure molding system is comprised of a base portion that is mounted for instance to an inside face of rectangular aluminum tubing or any interior wall. Low voltage wiring cable is placed into a rectangular base portion channel. The line voltage wiring is placed into the separate base portion channel. A rectangular cover snaps securely onto and over the base to conceal the cable and wire.

A proximal portion of one of the attachment sections can be divided into plural segments separated by openings to allow the passage of wires. An accessory rail can selectively and adjustably retain accessories, including wire management clips and power units. The wire management clip and other accessories have retaining formation corresponding in shape to the shape of a retaining formation of the accessory rail.
