HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE MOUNTING BOX
A mounting box for mounting an electrical device into a cavity of a wall has an outer body having an expansion element arranged in a side wall that extends in a depth direction, wherein, in use, the expansion element is pressed against the cavity, the mounting box having a first expansion control element arranged for pressing the expansion element against the cavity from a resting state to a securing state, and wherein the mounting box further includes an inner body, arranged to be mounted into the outer body and arranged for receiving the electrical device, wherein the inner body has adjustment means for moving the inner body in the depth direction inside the outer body regardless of the condition of the expansion element.
MOUNTING GUIDE FOR PLACEMENT OF A GANG BOX
A mounting rail and gang box member installation system for placing a gang box on a wall structure in a desired horizontal and/or vertical location to accommodate for construction anomalies. The mounting rail and gang box member system includes an elongate mounting rail assembly and any one of an extendable box assembly, slidable bracket assembly or a rail channel structure that in combination with a gang box member and/or mud ring member provide for flexibility in locating and mounting wiring receptacles and wiring devices on a wall structure. Finally, the installation system includes wire or cable fastening configurations that are used in combination with cable ties or zip-ties to secure wires of cables without having to use staples.
SHUTTER MECHANISM FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A shutter mechanism for a camera of an electronic device can include a slider mechanism that enables the shutter mechanism to operate between an open state in which a lens of the camera is exposed and a closed state that blocks the lens of the camera. The slider mechanism comprises a one or more slider appendages that operate the shutter mechanism between the open state and the closed state. Each of the one or more slider appendages slide along a horizontal axis in relation to a horizontal axis corresponding to the lens of the camera.
SAFETY SWITCH FEATURE FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electrical mating interface includes one or more electrical connectors that electrically couple the mounting device to a corresponding set of electrical connectors of an electronic device. The electrical mating interface further includes a front façade comprising a plunger coupled to a safety switch. The safety switch is disposed between the one or more electrical connectors and main wiring of a dwelling. When the plunger depresses upon coupling of the electronic device to the electrical mating interface, the safety switch closes and electrically couples the main wiring of the dwelling to the electronic device.
ELECTRICAL JUNCTION BOX COVER AND RELATED ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS FOR COMPLETING ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS
This invention relates to electrical junction box covers for temporary use during application of drywall and other finish work. Electrical junction boxes include any type of electrical outlet or switch box, including communication boxes for cable, Ethernet, phone, or any other related system. The covers of the invention prevent debris from entering the electrical junction boxes during the application of drywall and finish work. The covers protect electrical and data cabling and provide substantial efficiencies in construction of residential and commercial structures.
Junction box with universal fitment articulating cover
The present invention is an electrical junction box comprising a walled enclosure having an articulating cover member. The articulating cover member has an opening and is configured to allow an electrical device such as switch to be coupled to the cover member and further reside within the electrical junction box when the cover member is articulated into a closed position. When the cover member is in an open position, an installer has access to the backside of the electrical device and to the inside of the junction box. The coupling to of the electrical device to the cover member allows for support and stability of the electrical device while installing the required electrical lines that run through the junction box to the electrical device.
MOUNTING GUIDE FOR PLACEMENT OF A GANG BOX
A mounting guide for placing a gang box on a wall structure in a predetermined location includes an elongate substantially planar vertical frame assembly with a longitudinal axis through a vertical body having a top, middle, and bottom portion. The middle portion is formed by an upper and lower lateral wall that extends parallelly from the vertical frame assembly. A laterally extendable box member may be mounted within the middle portion of the frame assembly designed to move laterally away from the vertical body as upper and lower screw members securing the box member are axially rotated. A gang box member may be mounted on a surface of the extendable box or directly to the frame. One or more hoop or clip assemblies are disposed on the frame assembly to secure at least one wire. One or more holes are disposed through the frame assembly for fasteners to surfaces.
Hinged mud ring assembly
A mud ring assembly for supporting an electrical device including a base member configured to be coupled to a junction box having a first corner and a second corner. The base member has a perimeter configured to extend around the first corner and not reach the second corner so that the base member is not positioned above the second corner. The mud ring assembly also includes a movable member configured to support the electrical device. The movable member is pivotably connected to the base member and pivotable relative to the base member between a closed position in which a back of the electrical device is enclosed in the junction box and an open position permitting access to the back of the electrical device. The movable member is couplable at a second portion of the junction box to selectively secure the movable member in the closed position.
Outlet Box
An outlet box with flexible side surfaces that allow the side surfaces to compress inwards as the outlet box is inserted into a hole in a wall then decompress to original position once the outlet box is inserted into a wall. Elongated slits in the side surfaces create the necessary flexibility. Exterior wedge shaped flanges on the side surfaces cause the side surfaces to gradually compress as the outlet box is inserted into a wall as the interior of the wall applies pressure on the flanges.
ELECTRICAL BOX SPACERS
A system for filling a gap between an electrical box and a wall so an electrical outlet connected to the electrical box lies substantially flush with the wall, the system comprises: a first spacer being sized and shaped in length and width to substantially match the length and width of the electrical box; and at least two connectors of sufficient length to connect the electrical outlet and the first spacer to the electrical box through two electrical outlet openings, the two first spacer openings and the two openings in the electrical box.
