ELECTRICAL PORT DEVICE

An electrical port device having an electrical port and a cap or cover removable connected to the electrical port having a plug. An electrical cord or cable or cable section connects the electrical port to an electrical cord or cable or cable connector or splitter into a pair of electrical cord or cable or cable sections each provided with an electrical receptacle. Further, the cap or cover and the electrical port have cooperating sealing surfaces to ensure a tight waterproof sealing when the cap or cover is installed on the electrical port to prevent water or moisture reaching the plug.

RECESSED COVER PLATE DEVICE

The present invention relates to a recessed cover plate device further comprised of a front plate that attaches to a base. In differing embodiments, the base and front plate can be applied around a junction box of a wall outlet, a junction box of a light switch, an exhaust fan or any other structure of the like, such as but not limited to, an air register. The front plate further sits flush with the surface of the drywall, providing a cleaner and more aesthetic appearance. In addition, the front plate and base may be manufactured from a plurality of materials, such that the front plate matches or contrasts with the color, texture, and/or appearance of any surrounding drywall or other wall, ceiling or floor surface.

Mounting mechanism for an electrical device

An apparatus, such as an electrical device or a wall box, may have a mounting mechanism that may be configured to mount the apparatus to a wall in a manner that may facilitate secure fastening to the wall. The apparatus may comprise at least one mounting clamp that may have a fin and a drum that receives a mounting screw. The fin of the mounting clamp may be configured to be located within a pocket formed in the body. When a mounting screw is driven, the mounting clamp may rotate from the pocket into a position in which the drum of the mounting clamp may be received in a channel formed in the body. The drum may be configured to move through the channel as the mounting screw is further driven. The gap may be sized to retain the mounting clamp within the channel as the drum moves therethrough.

OPEN SPLICE ELECTRICAL BOX, METHOD OF MANUFACTURE, AND METHOD OF USE
20220131356 · 2022-04-28 ·

A one-piece injection molded plastic electrical box. The box has an integrated lid which is connected to the body of the box via a living hinge, also formed during the molding process. Four slots on either of four walls allow wires to enter the box from all sides. These openings have doors are designed to bend down, allowing space for the wires to be inserted. Once all wires are placed within the box, the top lid is closed and latched. The bent opening doors act as clamps to secure the wires by applying pressure to the wires as those doors attempt to bend back to their original orientation. This box may be installed without requiring power to be cut off to the splice connection.

Electrical Gang Box with Driver Compartment

An electrical gang box adapted for use with drivers is disclosed. The electrical gang box includes a main compartment with a front opening sized and adapted to accept an electrical control and structure around the front opening to secure the electrical control within the front opening and within the main compartment. The electrical gang box also includes a lower compartment that extends below the main compartment, is set back from the front of the main compartment and is open to the main compartment along an upper portion. The gang box may also include one or more pairs of rails disposed on opposite interior walls. In such cases, a divider panel is sized to slide into and extend between the rails to divide the junction box. Multiple-gang boxes with these features are also disclosed.

BRACE WITH SLIDING BRACKET

An electrical box assembly is provided that includes an electrical box and a bracket connected to the electrical box with the bracket being configured to mount the electrical box to a stud, a brace assembly, in a gang application, or, when the electrical box is a first electrical box and the bracket is a first bracket that is mounted to a first side of the stud, a second bracket connected to a second electrical box can be mounted to a second side of the stud at the same time that the first bracket is mounted to the first side of the stud so that at least a portion of the first bracket is at the same height of at least a portion of the second bracket on the stud. A flat blank for a brace is additionally provided that includes a middle portion connected between a first strip and a second strip, a first cutout being formed between the first strip and the middle portion, and a second cutout being between the second strip and the middle portion.

Systems and methods for mounting electrical devices such that they appear “flush” with a finished wall. The systems include specialized back boxes, mud rings, faceplates, and other tools that are installed and used during the mounting process. The mounting process includes a specific series of steps that take place during construction and wall finishing, including that mud or other finishing material is used to both “hide” the mounting system and lock it into place The systems and methods allow for full usage of existing electrical devices such as electric outlets, light switches, and USB connectors, with an improved visual appearance over existing electrical plates that sit on top of the wall.

Adjustable insert system for wall-mounted enclosures

A wall-mounted enclosure assembly utilizes insertable door mounting components that allow the enclosure door to be easily mounted to the enclosure main housing without the use of tools and in a manner that easily sets the door installation depth to match the depth of the surrounding drywall. After the enclosure main housing is mounted in the wall, insertable mounting components that serve as hinges and latches for the door are inserted into slots formed on the vertical sides of the main housing. The insertable mounting components can be inserted to a desired depth but cannot be withdrawn from the slots until a release tab is pressed. The installation depth of the hinges and latches is correctly set to match the thickness of the drywall merely by inserting the insertable mounting components until a stopping surface on the components abuts the drywall.

Press fit junction receptacle

An improved junction receptacle press fits to a surrounding drywall, or other sheet material, has at least one side wall and back wall defining front opening, and at least one flange extending laterally from the side wall adjacent a font edge of the side wall. At least one pivotal wing is formed in the sidewall having a forward end which can be biased outward from the side wall and spaced from the flange about a distance equal to a thickness of the drywall. The wing has a rear end substantially continuous with the side wall surface to permit the insertion of the junction box into a cutout of drywall surface slightly larger than the sidewall dimension and when so inserted compresses the wing inward where upon the forward end passing through the cutout can bias back to lock the junction box in place with the drywall between the flange and wing.
