FLIPTOP INTEGRATED LATCH
An integrated latching mechanism includes a slider button. At least one curved elastic arm extends from the slider button and is configured such that in response to an external force urging the slider button in a first direction, the curved elastic arm is distorted such that upon removal of the external force, the curved elastic arm moves the slider button in a direction opposite to the first direction. A locking part is contiguous with the slider button and extends away from the slider button. In response to the external force urging the slider button in the first direction, the locking part moves in the first direction, and upon removal of the external force, the curved elastic arm moves the locking part in the direction opposite to the first direction. The at least one curved elastic arm, the slider button, and the locking part form a single piece of elastic material.
Cover plate for wall mounted electrical device
A cover plate assembly is provided with a subplate with a substrate mounted to a wall mounted electrical device, to enclose the electrical device. A rim extends from a periphery of the substrate with a plurality of notches formed into an outer periphery of the rim. A cover plate with a substrate is adapted to be mounted upon the subplate substrate. A rim extends from a periphery of the cover plate substrate. A plurality of fasteners extends from the cover plate rim to engage the plurality of notches in the subplate to fasten the cover plate to the subplate. The plurality of fasteners is formed integrally with the cover plate and concealed within the cover plate rim.
HOME AUTOMATION CONTROLLER AND SYSTEM FOR OPTICALLY SAFELY LINKING AC VOLTAGE LINES WITH LOW VOLTAGE DC LINES
At least two cascaded chains of intelligent support boxes linked by optical cable provide the needed elements to link the electric AC power line and low voltage DC power lines to the many known outlets and switches (wiring devices) and their loads be it AC or DC operated, with the AC and DC lines are separately drawn through separated conduits and ducts safely and accurately controlled by an home controller and/or via a command converter and a distributor.
ADJUSTABLE INSERT SYSTEM FOR WALL-MOUNTED ENCLOSURES
A wall-mounted enclosure assembly utilizes insertable door mounting components that allow the enclosure door to be easily mounted to the enclosure main housing without the use of tools and in a manner that easily sets the door installation depth to match the depth of the surrounding drywall. After the enclosure main housing is mounted in the wall, insertable mounting components that serve as hinges and latches for the door are inserted into slots formed on the vertical sides of the main housing. The insertable mounting components can be inserted to a desired depth but cannot be withdrawn from the slots until a release tab is pressed. The installation depth of the hinges and latches is correctly set to match the thickness of the drywall merely by inserting the insertable mounting components until a stopping surface on the components abuts the drywall.
Insulating box and method for electrical outlets, switches and light fixtures
A method of insulating an electrical switch/outlet/fixture box installed in an exterior wall comprising a plurality of vertically extending studs, a first insulating material disposed between the plurality of vertically extending studs, a water vapor barrier extending over the first insulating material, furring extending horizontally over the first insulating material and a finishing panel attached to the furring, using an insulated box, the method comprising the steps of making an opening in the water vapor barrier adjacent to one of the plurality of vertically extending studs; introducing the insulated box into the vapor barrier opening; introducing the electrical switch/outlet/fixture box into the insulated box; and attaching the electrical switch/outlet/fixture box and the insulated box to the one of the plurality of vertically extending studs.
Adaptable toggle boxes
An adaptable toggle electrical work boxes with removable locators are provided as electrical old work boxes which can be used as “stud no stud” boxes, with a built-in single fastener assembly for attachment to a stud or a pair of external pivoting toggle fasteners which can attach the box to a wall board even if the location is not adjacent to an interior wall stud. The round electrical work box with flanges for holding the box against a wall board, but also where the flanges are a plurality of arcuate flanges separated from each other, providing hand gripping spaces for gripping the electrical box for rotating it so that removable burs or pointed members can etch into the wall board along the circumference of the open edge of the round electrical work box.
Self-set home automation and method for operating the home automation
A self-set home automation and method for handling the self-set home automation and the related devices including cascading intelligent support boxes and plug-in devices to provide simple to install and operate, with less wiring wherein the cascaded devices are optically linked, to include separated low voltage grid and related devices, and a converter for communicating RF, wifi and IR.
ELECTRICAL BOX SUPPORT
Electrical box assemblies are provided that have a support that is adjustable to different sizes. The electrical box assemblies provided also include a cable support that moves from a shipping position to an installed position.
LOAD CENTER ASSEMBLY
A load center assembly is provided. The load center assembly comprises a frame, an electrical panel assembly, and a plurality of electrical wire harnesses. The frame includes a first side and a second side. The first side and the second side are substantially parallel and connected by a plurality of cross members. The electrical panel assembly is connected to the first side and the second side. The electrical panel assembly includes a plurality of breakers. The plurality of electrical wires harnesses is connected to the frame. Each of the plurality of electrical wire harnesses includes a plurality of wires. A first end of each wire of the plurality of wires is routed into the electrical panel assembly and is terminated in a corresponding breaker. The load center assembly is configured to be disposed in a wall frame.
