HAIRCARE UNIT
One aspect of the present invention provides a haircare device (10) configured for being used when styling hair. The hair care device comprising a hollow body (101), an air inlet (102) through which air can enter the hollow body, and a hair receiving portion (103) on the outside of the hollow body, wherein the hair receiving portion comprises multiple air outlets (104) through which In air can exit the haircare device. The haircare device further comprises a fan (105) configured for transporting air from the air inlet to the air outlets. The hair receiving portion comprises multiple slats (106) provided between respective pairs of air outlets under an obtuse angle with the hair receiving portion, wherein the slats and the air outlets are positioned along a straight line (109), and wherein the multiple slats have a substantially rounded surface (111) on the outside of the hollow body such that in use an airflow is generated that moves predominantly along the hair receiving portion along the straight line.
Blower With Electrostatic Discharge System
The present invention is directed to an outdoor blower that is capable of safely releasing any electrostatic charge that builds up in the blower. During the operation of the blower, electric charge builds up in the housing and components of the blower as particles in the air are moved through the blower. The blower includes a wire contact in the handle that is electrically connected to various other components in the blower. As electric charge is built up in the blower, it can be passed to the wire contact, which is graspable by a user, who acts as a ground and is able to release any charge that builds up.
Smart Hair Dryer Accessory Detection
Systems are provided for a hair dryer. A hair drying system can include a plurality of different types of accessories and a hair dryer having an output end configured to supply air. The output end can include an attachment assembly having a retaining mechanism configured to engage each of the plurality of different types of accessories to retain a selected one of the different types of accessories on the hair dryer, an alignment mechanism configured to align one of the accessories in a predetermined rotational orientation relative to the output end, and an accessory detection assembly configured to move to one of a plurality of predetermined structural configurations based on the type of accessory attached to the hair dryer. The hair dryer can further include a controller configured to control the supply of air through the output end in dependence on the predetermined structural configuration of the accessory detection assembly.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR DRYING AN OBJECT
Apparatuses and methods for drying an object are provided. An apparatus for drying an object may include a first airflow channel that has an airflow inlet and an airflow outlet. The apparatus may also include one or more radiation energy sources configured to provide thermal radiation toward the object. The apparatus may also include an airflow generating element configured to provide an airflow by effecting the airflow into the first airflow channel through the airflow inlet and direct a first portion of the airflow in the first airflow channel toward the airflow outlet. The apparatus may further include an airflow guide assembly configured to provide a second airflow channel through which a second portion of the airflow in the first airflow channel is guided to a target region. The target region abuts at least one of the one or more radiation energy sources.

Lava rock containing hair styling devices
Hairstyling devices include one or more heat transmissive elements having a coating disposed thereon, the coating having ceramic and lava rock incorporated therein. The use of lava rock-containing coatings as described herein results in hairstyling devices with heat transmissive elements exhibiting enhanced heat retention, faster heat recovery, and increased ion emission. Furthermore, lava rock-containing coatings have been found more durable than equivalent heat transmissive element coatings that do not have lava rock incorporated therein.

Hair dryer
A hair dryer has a primary air flow path and a secondary air flow path. The primary air flow path is operable to dry hair using suction in a first mode of operation. The secondary air flow path is operable to blow dry hair in a second mode of operation. In the primary mode of operation, the motor and fan assembly of the secondary air flow path is operated in reverse to direct air towards hair that is being dried by suction.
