Assembly with an analog data processing unit and method of using same
An assembly includes an analog signal processing unit. An analog signal path and an amplifier an automatic gain control unit are coupled to the signal path. Further to the output of the amplified analog signal, a gain information is provided as an analog or digital signal at a gain information output. This information can be used for further processing the signal, e.g., by automatic noise compression or to control further signal processing units.
SIMULATED AUDITORY SPACE FOR ONLINE MEETINGS
A virtual meeting system is discussed herein. An online meeting application places participants in their own virtual location with a common virtual meeting space and adjusts the audio volume and balance on a listener's device to simulate the virtual location of the participant who is speaking. The application includes a trigonometric function to adjust the audio volume and balance based on the location of the listener relative to the speaker. The application can also permit the participants to select their own virtual locations upon entry to the virtual meeting, can assign a virtual location or adjust audio based on a participant's settings, or can allow for parallel meetings.
Method for carrying out a morphing process
Method for carrying out a morphing process, wherein an output parameter relating to the output of an audio signal outputted into an interior via an audio output device is changed.
Extracting a common signal from multiple audio signals
Extracting a common signal from multiple audio signals may include summing a first signal and a second signal to obtain a first+second signal; subtracting the second signal from the first signal to obtain a first−second signal; transforming the first+second signal and the first−second signal to frequency domain representations; calculating absolute value of the frequency domain representations of the first+second signal and the first−second signal; subtracting the absolute value of the frequency domain representation of the first−second signal from the absolute value of the frequency domain representation of the first+second signal to obtain a difference signal; multiplying the difference signal by the frequency domain representation of the first+second signal to obtain a product signal; dividing the product signal by the absolute value of the frequency domain representation of the first+second signal to obtain a frequency domain representation of the common signal; and transforming the frequency domain representation to the common signal.
SELF-VOICE ADAPTATION
Aspects of the subject technology relate to a device including a microphone, a filter and a processor. The filter receives an audio signal including ambient noise and a voice of a user of the device from the microphone. At least a portion of ambient noise is filtered from the audio signal. The processor determines a level of the ambient noise in the received audio signal and dynamically adjusts a gain applied to the filtered audio signal based on the level of the ambient noise.
Sound pickup device and sound pickup method
A sound pickup method includes splitting a sound pickup signal of a microphone of which sound pickup in a predetermined range is blocked by an acoustic obstacle, into a plurality of sound pickup signals and subjecting at least one sound pickup signal among the plurality of sound pickup signals to band limitation processing, and comparing characteristic amounts of the plurality of sound pickup signals including the sound pickup signal after being subjected to the band limitation processing and controlling a gain of the microphone in accordance with a result of comparing the characteristic amounts.
VIBRATION DAMPING SYSTEM FOR CHARGED PARTICLE BEAM APPARATUS
A vibration damping system for a charged particle beam apparatus according to the present invention includes a column through which a charged particle beam passes, a vibration detection unit that detects vibration of the column, a damping mechanism that applies vibration to the column to suppress the vibration of the column, and a control device that controls the damping mechanism. The control device includes a damping gain control unit that amplifies a detection signal of the vibration detection unit with a set amplification factor and outputs an amplified detection signal as a control signal to the damping mechanism, and a saturation suppression unit that adjusts a feedback gain value of the damping gain control unit according to a detection signal of the vibration detection unit, a signal of the damping mechanism, and a maximum output value and a minimum output value of the damping mechanism.
Adaptive analog to digital converter (ADC) multipath digital microphones
Exemplary multipath digital microphone described herein can comprise exemplary embodiments of adaptive ADC range multipath digital microphones, which allow low power to be achieved for amplifiers or gain stages, as well as for exemplary adaptive ADCs in exemplary multipath digital microphone arrangements described herein, while still providing a high DR digital microphone systems. Further non-limiting embodiments can comprise an exemplary glitch removal component configured to minimize audible artifacts associated with the change in the gain of the exemplary adaptive ADCs.
VOLUME CONTROL APPARATUS, METHODS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE SAME
Provided are a volume control apparatus capable of appropriately controlling a sound volume even immediately after start of utterance, an associated method, and a program. The volume control apparatus includes a recognition unit that recognizes a predetermined voice command for use in starting voice recognition, a gain setting unit that sets a gain for an audio signal X of a target of the voice recognition, by use of an audio signal related to the predetermined voice command uttered by a user, and an adjustment unit that adjusts a sound volume of the audio signal X, by use of the gain.
Headset and Method for Operating a Headset
A gaming unit and producing a game-audio output of a varying volume level and a chat-voice output is connected to headphones adapted to be worn by a player of the unit and connected to the gaming unit for making the chat-voice output and the game-audio output audible to the player. A circuit or software associated with the headphones can increase the chat-voice volume level generally proportionately to the game-audio volume level.
