SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MODIFYING AN AUDIO PLAYBACK
An audio system and method for modifying an audio playback including configuring an audio playback device, the audio playback device comprising a plurality of far-field audio inputs; generating the audio playback via the audio playback device; receiving, via at least one far-field audio input of the plurality of far-field audio inputs, a content-agnostic audio input from a first position within an environment; and, modifying the audio playback in response to the content-agnostic audio input.
LEARNING AUXILIARY FEATURE PREFERENCES AND CONTROLLING THE AUXILIARY DEVICES BASED THEREON
A system for audio control in a vehicle includes a speaker designed to output vehicle audio data in a cabin of the vehicle at a volume. The system further includes a microphone designed to detect microphone data in the cabin of the vehicle. The system further includes a memory designed to store an audio profile corresponding to desirable operation of the volume of the speaker. The system also includes an electronic control unit (ECU) coupled to the speaker, the microphone, and the memory and designed to control the volume of the speaker based on the detected microphone data and the audio profile.
Audio circuit and method for detecting sound activity
A circuit for sound activity detection includes a transducer (106) adapted to generate an electrical signal based on detected sound; a variable gain amplifier adapted to amplify the electrical signal to generate an amplified electrical signal; a comparator adapted to compare the amplified electrical signal with at least one first threshold level to generate a comparison signal indicating comparator events; and a control circuit adapted to generate, based on the comparison signal, a gain control signal for controlling the gain of the variable gain amplifier, and a sound activity alert signal indicating the detection of sound activity.
VOLUME ADJUSTMENT METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, STORAGE MEDIUM AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a volume adjustment method, a terminal device, a storage medium, and an electronic device. The volume adjustment method provided by the present disclosure includes: acquiring ambient sound of current environment first and determining the main sound included in the ambient sound, where the main sound has a strongest preset sound characteristic among all sound types included in the ambient sound, and then adjusting a volume of the audio sound according to the main sound and a preset sound adjustment rule. The volume adjustment method provided by the present disclosure may enable the terminal device to adopt an adaptive adjustment manner to control the volume under different working environments, thereby outputting a volume that meets a user's current demand for the user.
Intelligent conversation control in wearable audio systems
An apparatus is configured to rest on a wearer's neck or shoulders, and has a first microphone positioned at a first position located on the right side of the wearer, when the apparatus is worn, and a second microphone positioned at a second position located on the left side of the wearer. A processor receives audio signals output by the first and second microphones, and compares the audio signals from the first microphone to the audio signals from the second microphone. Based on the comparison, the processor determines whether the wearer's head is rotated to the right, left, or center, during an instance of the user speaking. Based on the determination, the processor selects a first one of at least two audio signal destinations, and provides the audio signal from at least one of the microphones to the first selected audio signal destination.
AUTOMATIC VOLUME CONTROL FOR COMBINED GAME AND CHAT AUDIO
A system comprising audio processing circuitry is provided. The audio processing circuitry is operable to receive audio signals. The audio processing circuitry is operable to process the audio signals to detect strength of a chat component of the audio signals and strength of a game component of the audio signals. The audio processing circuitry is operable to automatically control a volume setting based on one or both of: the detected strength of the chat component, and the detected strength of the game component. The combined-game-and-chat audio signals may comprise a left channel signal and a right channel signal. The processing of the combined-game-and-chat audio signals may comprise measuring strength of a vocal-band signal component that is common to the left channel signal and the right channel signal.

Audio Playback Settings for Voice Interaction
Example techniques relate to voice interaction in an environment with a media playback system that is playing back audio content. In an example implementation, while playing back first audio in a given environment at a given loudness: a playback device (a) detects that an event is anticipated in the given environment, the event involving playback of second audio and (b) determines a loudness of background noise in the given environment, the background noise comprising ambient noise in the given environment. The playback device ducks the first audio in proportion to a difference between the given loudness of the first audio and the determined loudness of the background noise and plays back the ducked first audio concurrently with the second audio.
Audio capture in presence of noise
An apparatus comprising means for: capturing an audio scene using multiple microphones; determining that the captured audio scene has unacceptable detected noise; in dependence upon determining that the captured audio scene has unacceptable detected noise, searching both different sets of one or more microphones and different physical rotation angles of the microphones to find a combination of a first set of one or more microphones and a first physical rotation angle of the microphones that captures the audio scene with acceptable detected noise; and controlling the physical rotation angle of the microphones to be the first physical rotation angle of the microphones and capturing the audio scene using the combination of the first set of one or more microphones and the first physical rotation angle of the microphones.
System and method for controlling volume
Systems and methods provide a solution to a common nuisance of loud background noise encountered when watching television, allowing the issue to be solved with little or no user interaction. Systems and methods automatically modulate device volume based on background noise level. The systems and methods record a background level of noise, and if that background level of noise increases, the systems and methods automatically increase the content volume which had been set by the user. Exceptions are made for brief sounds or for viewer conversations.
