Aspects of this disclosure relate to a tunable filter with harmonic rejection. The tunable filter includes mutually coupled inductors and a tunable capacitance circuit electrically connected to at least one of the mutually coupled inductors. The tunable capacitance circuit includes N switches configured to adjust effective capacitance of the tunable capacitance circuit to tune harmonic rejection of the tunable filter for at least 2×2.sup.N harmonics. The tunable filter can filter a radio frequency signal. Related methods, radio frequency systems, radio frequency modules, and wireless communication devices are also disclosed.
Integrated tunable filter architecture
An apparatus and method for a frequency based integrated circuit that selectively filters out unwanted bands or regions of interfering frequencies utilizing one or more tunable notch or bandpass filters or tunable low or high pass filters capable of operating across multiple frequencies and multiple bands in noisy RF environments. The tunable filters are fabricated within the same integrated circuit package as the associated frequency based circuitry, thus minimizing R, L, and C parasitic values, and also allowing residual and other parasitic impedance in the associated circuitry and IC package to be absorbed and compensated.
Capacitive-coupled bandpass filter
Examples of a capacitive-coupled bandpass filter include a plurality of coupling capacitors connected in series along a signal path extending between an input contact and an output contact, a first harmonic suppression notch circuit configured to provide a first harmonic suppression notch in a frequency response of the capacitive-coupled bandpass filter, and a second harmonic suppression notch circuit configured to provide a second harmonic suppression notch in the frequency response of the capacitive-coupled bandpass filter. The first harmonic suppression notch circuit includes a first pair of series L/C resonators connected in shunt between the signal path and a reference potential, and the second harmonic suppression notch circuit includes a second pair of series L/C resonators connected in shunt between the signal path and the reference potential.
MULTIPLEXING CIRCUITS WITH BAW RESONATORS AS NETWORK ELEMENTS FOR HIGHER PERFORMANCE
Multiplexing circuits with bulk acoustic wave (BAW) resonators as network elements for higher performance are provided. Multiplexing networks which support newer fourth generation (4G) and fifth generation (5G) standards may include a combination of multiplexers having a number of radio frequency (RF) filters connected to an antenna at the same time. One critical aspect of such a multiplexer design is the loading of these filters to each other, in which the static capacitance presented by a filter can be beneficial or detrimental to other filters in the multiplexing network. Aspects of the present disclosure introduce a BAW resonator to improve multiplexing network performance using the frequency-dependent capacitance, resonance, and/or anti-resonance of the BAW resonator.
MULTILAYER SUBSTRATE, CIRCUIT DEVICE, AND FILTER CIRCUIT SUBSTRATE
A multilayer substrate includes a multilayer body, an internal wire, land electrodes, and a ground electrode. The internal wire extends toward the land electrode from a position where the internal wire overlaps the land electrode when viewed from a first surface and is electrically connected to the land electrode by a via conductor. The internal wire is electrically connected to the ground electrode by a via conductor that is provided in a region from a position where a capacitor is located where the via conductor at least partially overlaps the land electrode when viewed from the first surface.
Filter circuit for reducing feedback of a consumer on an energy supply
A filter circuit for reducing feedback of a consumer on an energy supply is disclosed. This filter circuit includes a multipolar input, a line choke, and a multipolar output, wherein the input is configured to receive an AC voltage from the energy supply, wherein the output is configured to be connected to the consumer, wherein the line choke includes one coil for each pole of the input, and wherein the coils of the line choke are each connected between one pole of the input and one pole of the output and energy is transferred from the input to the output and/or vice versa. A resonant current suppression (RCS) group is connected in parallel to a coil of the line choke to transmit resonant currents arising at the line choke such that voltage increases generated by the resonant currents are reduced or suppressed by the at least one RCS circuit.
