Device for subcutaneous delivery of fluid medicament

An improved device delivers a fluid medicament to the subcutaneous tissue of a user. The device is better suited for patients with Parkinson's Disease and other central nervous system disorders, than conventional infusion devices. The device can include a reusable part including a drive component (e.g., motor) and control electronics and a disposable part including a medicament reservoir. Medicament can be evacuated from the medicament reservoir by a plunger assembly that includes a plunger attached to a lead screw that is rotated by a nut, all within the disposable part. The device can be fluidically coupled with the tissue via a flexible cannula. Various embodiments relate to an improved cannula insertion mechanism that delivers the cannula under a force applied by a spring. Various embodiments relate to improved filling of the device, for example, using a vial adapter and an automated filling station.

Micro-transfer-printed acoustic wave filter device

A compound acoustic wave filter device comprises a support substrate having an including two or more circuit connection pads. An acoustic wave filter includes a piezoelectric filter element and two or more electrodes. The acoustic wave filter is micro-transfer printed onto the support substrate. An electrical conductor electrically connects one or more of the circuit connection pads to one or more of the electrodes.

Bonding method

A bonding layer 3 is formed over a piezoelectric material substrate, and the bonding layer is made of one or more materials selected from the group consisting of silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, alumina, tantalum pentoxide, mullite, niobium pentoxide and titanium oxide. A neutralized beam is irradiated onto a surface of the bonding layer and a surface of a supporting body to activate the surface of the bonding layer and the surface of the supporting body. The surface of the bonding layer and the surface of the supporting body are bonded by direct bonding.

Elastic wave element and method for manufacturing same

In an acoustic wave device including a piezoelectric material substrate and supporting body bonded with each other through a bonding layer, it is an object to provide the acoustic wave device having the structure for further improving the propagation loss and temperature characteristics of frequency of an acoustic wave. An acoustic wave device includes a piezoelectric material substrate, an electrode on the piezoelectric material substrate, a supporting body, and a bonding layer for bonding the piezoelectric material substrate and the supporting body. The bonding layer is composed of quartz crystal.
