Acoustic filter
Techniques are disclosed for increasing capacitance, decreasing losses, and/or improving a quality factor of a SAW filter. The techniques include using a partial-IDT instead of a reflector between two groups of IDTs. The partial-IDT is implemented having a cavity transition on a first end and a reflector transition on a second end. The cavity transition facilitates propagation of main-resonance acoustic waves into, or between elements of, the partial-IDT. The reflector transition facilitates reflection of main-resonance acoustic waves.
SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE DEVICE AND SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE FILTER
A surface acoustic wave filter includes series and parallel arm resonance sections. The series arm resonance section is in a series arm. The parallel arm resonance section is in a parallel arm. The series arm resonance section includes one or more surface acoustic wave devices. Each surface acoustic wave device includes a first resonator group and a second resonator group. The first and second resonator groups are connected in parallel and include surface acoustic wave resonators. The first resonator group includes at least one surface acoustic wave resonator. The second resonator group includes a greater number of surface acoustic wave resonators than the at least one surface acoustic wave resonator in the first resonator group. The resonant frequency of the surface acoustic wave resonator in the first resonator group is higher than the resonant frequency of the surface acoustic wave resonators in the second resonator group.
SURFACE ELASTIC WAVE FILTER WITH RESONANT CAVITIES
A surface elastic wave filter has resonant cavities and comprises a composite substrate formed of a base substrate and a piezoelectric upper layer; at least one input electroacoustic transducer and an output electroacoustic transducer, arranged on the upper layer, and at least one internal reflecting structure, arranged between the input electroacoustic transducer and the output electroacoustic transducer. The internal reflecting structure comprises a first structure comprising at least one reflection grating having a first period and a second structure comprising at least one reflection grating having a second period, the first period being greater than the second period.

Modified saw transducer, saw resonator, and saw filter comprising same
A SAW transducer and a SAW resonator are proposed composed of consecutively arranged unit cells of length L. Slight geometry or material variations such as variations of the metallization ration or the unit cell length L affecting the pitch) between these unit cells result in improved spurious mode suppression while the main mode performance is unaffected.
