Furniture system
A furniture system includes an elongated chase having a body extending from a first end to a second end. The body has an upper surface and a lower surface. A first leg is coupled to the lower surface of the body and a second leg is coupled to the lower surface of the body and spaced apart from the first leg. Power cables are positioned within a cavity of the body, the power cables configured to connect to a building's power supply. A modular power unit is coupled to the lower surface of the body. The modular power unit includes a power outlet electrically coupled to the power cables.

A screw rod self-locking device includes a one-way bearing and a mounting seat, and an inner hole of the one-way bearing is sleeved at an end of a screw rod. A mounting hole for receiving the one-way bearing is disposed on the mounting seat, and the one-way bearing is rotatably fitted into the mounting hole along a circumferential direction. An adjusting mechanism for adjusting a circumferential locking force of the mounting hole for the one-way bearing is disposed on the mounting seat so as to adjust a size of a friction force between an outer wall of the one-way bearing and an inner wall of the mounting hole. A height-adjustable leg and a height-adjustable desk applying the same are further provided. In this way, a size of a self-locking friction force to be overcome during backward rotation of a screw rod can be self-defined, thereby guaranteeing consistency of product performances.
Systems and methods for lift force estimation
A lift force of a height adjustable assembly can be estimated using a potentiometer or other position sensor coupled to a counterbalance mechanism. The estimated lift force can be communicated to the user, e.g., presented on an electronic display, and the user can continue adjustment of the lift force, if needed, to substantially balance the lift force with the weight of the components coupled to the assembly.
