Pressure-sensitive touch sensor and pressure-sensitive touch sensor module
In a pressure-sensitive touch sensor of a capacitance type, a first electrode and a second electrode are provided on a first surface of a base material sheet. The base material sheet is folded between the first electrode and the second electrode so that a surface of the first electrode and a surface of the second electrode face each other. The base material sheet is folded at a fold line portion in which a slit is formed. An elastic layer is provided between folded parts of the base material sheet. The pressure-sensitive touch sensor is configured to detect pressing on the operation surface based on a change in capacitance, which is caused when the elastic layer is compressed and deformed in a thickness direction by a pressing force to reduce a distance between the first electrode and the second electrode.
Load control device having a capacitive touch surface
A control device configured for use in a load control system to control one or more electrical loads may comprise an actuation member having a front surface defining a touch sensitive surface configured to detect a point actuation along at least a portion of the front surface, a touch sensitive circuit, and a control circuit. The touch sensitive device may comprise one or more receiving capacitive touch pads located behind the actuation member and arranged in a linear array adjacent to the touch sensitive surface. The control circuit may be configured to operate using different filtering techniques based on the state/mode of the control device and/or based on whether the positions of point actuations by a user along the touch sensitive surface indicate a fine tune or gross adjustment by the user. For example, the control circuit may generate an output signal using light/no filtering or using heavy filtering.
METHOD FOR CALIBRATING A VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL MEASURING DEVICE
A method for calibrating a measuring device for a vehicle steering wheel, the measuring device comprising a detection sensor, and an acquisition unit, the calibrating method comprising the steps of: placing the vehicle steering wheel with the on-board detection sensor in a reference environment, carrying out a reference measurement, recording the level of the reference signal and/or adjusting and recording at least one initial threshold to be used by the electronic control unit to initiate a driver assistance action, depending on the level of the measured reference signal and/or recording a difference between the level of the reference signal and the initial threshold.
CAPACITANCE DETECTION CIRCUIT AND METHOD, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
This application provides a capacitance detection circuit for detecting capacitance of a capacitor element within a capacitor array. The circuit includes a capacitance detection module for detecting a first capacitance of a first capacitor set, a second capacitance of a second capacitor set, and a third capacitance of the third capacitor set, the first capacitor set comprising the capacitor element and a row capacitor element in the same row of the capacitor array as the capacitor element, the second capacitor set comprising the capacitor element and a column capacitor element in the same column of the capacitor array as the capacitor element, the third capacitor set comprising the row capacitor element and the column capacitor element; and a processing module, configured to obtain the capacitance of the capacitor element according to the first capacitance, the second capacitance and the third capacitance.
Electrical switch with combined commands
A device for closing or opening two or more main switches of corresponding electrical power supply circuits of related electrical devices includes a plate having at least two capacitive touch contact areas, and a control circuit configured to control two or more additional switches so that, in the event that only one of the contact areas is touched, only the corresponding main switch is opened or closed, while in the event of a combined touching of at least two of the contact areas, one of the additional switches is opened or closed.
OPERATING UNIT FOR A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
An operating unit for a domestic appliance has a touch-sensitive unit and an LED unit positioned on the rear thereof. The touch-sensitive unit is formed with a diffuser foil which has a top side, facing an operator, provided with a printed character layer and an underside, directed away therefrom, provided with a printed functional layer. This leads to a simpler structure of the operating unit with a smaller number of components, which permits a cost-optimized manufacturing process, and also a higher display contrast with the simultaneous reduction of undesirable reflection effects.
Electrical switch
A switch device includes a main module, which includes at least one main electronic control circuit, connections to the electrical system of a building and/or to equipment or devices to be controlled, one or more touch sensors or contacts connected to the at least one main electronic control circuit, a main box-shaped housing element for the preceding components, and one or more systems that provide a reversible electric or electronic and mechanical connection of the main module to an accessory module.
USER-INPUT SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF DETECTING A USER INPUT AT A COVER MEMBER OF A USER-INPUT SYSTEM
A user-input system includes a force-measuring device, a cover member, and an elastic circuit board substrate interposed between the force-measuring device and the cover member and mechanically coupled to the cover member and to the force-measuring device. The force-measuring device includes a strain-sensing element. The force-measuring device is mounted to and electrically connected to the elastic circuit board substrate. The cover member undergoes a primary mechanical deformation in response to forces imparted at the cover member. The elastic circuit board substrate transmits a portion of the primary mechanical deformation to the force-measuring device resulting in a concurrent secondary mechanical deformation of the force-measuring device. The strain-sensing element is configured to output voltage signals in accordance with a time-varying strain at the strain-sensing element resulting from the secondary mechanical deformation.
VEHICLE SYSTEM FOR DETECTING AND VISUALLY CONVEYING VEHICLE BUTTON INTERACTION
A method includes receiving sensed signal data from at least one circuit based on a user in proximity to at least one electrode corresponding to the at least one circuit. Hover detection data indicating a detected hover in proximity to an interactable element of a vehicle is generated. Button feedback display data indicating the interactable element is generated based on the hover detection data. Display of the button feedback display data via a display device is facilitated.
SWITCH DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED TOUCH SENSOR
A multi-value selection switch that includes an engagement surface with an integrated touch sensor. The integrated touch sensor includes a plurality of detectable positions that correspond to, for instance, a range of absolute or relative target input values between a predefined minimum and maximum. The engagement surface further defines a switch that actuates/activates based on detecting a user-supplied force and/or based on a user momentarily holding a finger/pointer position. A user can select a target input value by bringing a finger or other pointer within operable proximity of an associated detectable position and actuating the switch and/or momentarily pausing. In response, the selection switch outputs a control signal to an associated device to cause the same to adjust operation.
