The work surface is configured to cover a protected member when in a first position and the work surface is configured to uncover the protected member when moved into a second position. The base is configured to support the work surface on a floor surface. A height of the work surface can be adjusted to accommodate the ergonomic needs of different users.
TELESCOPIC LINEAR ACTUATOR AND HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE TABLE
A telescopic linear actuator (2), in particular for a table system, comprises a linear drive (11) which is arranged to move the linear actuator (2) over a total lift (GH), wherein the total lift (GH) is composed of a primary lift (HH) and a secondary lift (NH), and the linear actuator (2) is arranged to move the primary lift (HH) and the secondary lift (NH) sequentially.
Adjustable height desk having a deployable floor mat
A desk includes a tabletop and at least one base member supporting the tabletop. A footrest is disposed on the at least one base member beneath the tabletop. The footrest is movable between a stowed position toward a back of the desk and a deployed position toward a front of the desk. At least one mechanism is disposed on the at least one base member and operatively coupled to the footrest. The at least one mechanism moving the footrest between the stowed and deployed positions. A floor mat is disposed with the footrest. The floor mat is movable with the footrest between a stowed mat position and a deployed mat position.
ACTUATED HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE OPTICAL TABLE
Disclosed is an actuated, height adjustable optical table or workstation for use in microscopy, optical research laboratories and similar environments. The height adjustable design includes fixed and moving parts which combine to create a rigid, height adjustable table structure on which to mount an optical breadboard or similar platforms via optional rigid, passive or active vibration isolation mounts. The height adjustment is performed by multiple compact actuators with associated control hardware and software, and allows the user or an application system to perform activities with the table at any heights.
AUTOMATIC HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
An automatic height adjustment system includes an adjustable desk frame, a first drive assembly operable to control a height of the adjustable desk frame, an adjustable monitor mount, a second drive assembly operable to control a viewing height of the adjustable monitor mount, a transceiver, and a first controller communicatively coupled to the first drive assembly and to the transceiver. The first controller is configured to receive, via the transceiver, a first communication based on the detection of a position of a user from a computing device and to transmit, via the transceiver, a second communication to the first drive assembly to control the height of the adjustable desk frame and movement of the adjustable desk frame and the adjustable monitor mount are synchronized such that an adjustment of the height of the adjustable desk frame causes a corresponding adjustment of the viewing height of the adjustable monitor mount.
LINEAR ACTUATOR FOR A FURNITURE SYSTEM, ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE FURNITURE SYSTEM, METHOD FOR MOUNTING A LINEAR ACTUATOR IN A FURNITURE SYSTEM AND FURNITURE SYSTEM ARRANGEMENT
A linear actuator for a furniture system comprises at least one axial flux motor (5) having a rotor (9), and at least one motion mechanism (6) attached to the rotor (9). The motion mechanism (6) is adapted to cause a linear movement of the linear actuator.
An electrically adjustable furniture system comprises at least one such linear actuator. A furniture system arrangement comprises at least one first and at least one second such electrically adjustable furniture system. A method of installing a linear actuator in a furniture system comprises the steps mounting at least one axial flux motor (5), mounting at least one motion mechanism (6), and connecting the at least one motion mechanism (6) to a rotor (9) of the at least one axial flux motor (5).
ACTUATOR SYSTEM, PIECE OF FURNITURE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN ACTUATOR SYSTEM
An actuator system includes a motor having a system of rotating shafts, a conversion arrangement including one of the rotating shafts and converting rotational motion to elongation, and a brake arrangement having one of the rotating shafts as a brake shaft, an electromagnet, at least one brake chamber formed between the brake shaft and an associated brake wall, and a magnetoactive brake member for each brake chamber. Each brake chamber includes a free-wheeling region for receiving the respective brake member. Each brake chamber includes a braking region with a decreasing radial distance between wall and rotation axis. Each brake member is arranged movably in the respective brake chamber in such a way that frictional contact can be formed with the brake shaft and brake wall. In an activated state, the electromagnet is configured to bring each brake member into the associated free-wheeling region.
MOBILE WORKSTATION WITH ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT
A mobile workstation with adjustable height of the present disclosure may comprise a top assembly, an adjustment assembly, and a bottom assembly. Adjustment assembly may comprise telescopically engaged segments. One or more pulleys or pulley assemblies may be disposed within one or more of the segments to allow for withdrawing and retracting segments from one another at the same rate. Actuation of the raising or lowering of the overall height of the mobile workstation may be realized through either a manual actuation or an electronic element such as a linear actuator.
Piece of furniture, a method of calibrating an actuator and a method of adjusting a component of a piece of furniture
An electrically adjustable piece of furniture comprises a first and at least one second actuator for adjusting a component of the piece of furniture and a controller for controlling the first and at least one second actuator. The actuators each have a first element and a second element which are displaceable relative to each other, and a sensor attached to the first element and adapted to measure a distance between the first and second elements. The distance measurement is based on a time-of-flight measurement of a wave. The controller is arranged to determine an absolute position of each actuator from the respectively measured distance.
