Universal automatic self-leveling mechanism for motorized chair seats
An electro-mechanical automatic self-leveling device is provided for use on motorized chair seats. The device may include a pendulum assembly consisting of neodymium magnets attached to an inertia-dampened pendulum and a printed circuit board (PCB) with a hall effect sensor and processing circuitry that will develop proportional correction signals to be amplified by a high-current bi-directional motor driver. This configuration is assembled in a case attached to the motorized chair seat via a mounting bracket and clamping knob, and a cable from the device connects to the chair's seat tilt motor and power supply. Various switches may be included to reset the device in case of overheating and to switch between automatic and manual leveling. In alternative embodiments, the auto-leveling mechanism may be integrated into the motorized chair seat design rather than a separate device that can be attached to the chair seat after-market and independent of the chair's controller.

RECLINING CHAISE MECHANISM
A furniture member may include a seat bottom frame, a seatback frame, and a reclining mechanism. The seatback frame may be movable relative to the seat bottom frame between an upright position and a reclined position. The seatback frame may be coupled to the seat bottom frame by a pair of linkages. The reclining mechanism may include a front support member and a rear support member. The front support member may be attached to the seat bottom frame and the rear support member may be attached to the linkages. The rear support member may be movable relative to the seat bottom frame between a first position when the seatback frame is in the upright position and a second position when the seatback frame is in the reclined position. Movement of the seatback frame between the upright position and the reclined position causes movement of the rear support member.
Dynamic furniture featuring pendulum-like motion
A dynamic furniture system includes a first frame portion; a set of rollers mounted to the first frame portion; a second frame portion including one or more rockers having a roller-interface surface having a curved profile; wherein the set of rollers interface with the roller-interface surface of the rockers such that the second frame portion is moveable relative to the first frame portion; a set of one or more electromagnets mounted to or integrated with the first frame portion or the second frame portion; a set of one or more magnetically-interactive elements mounted to or integrated with a different one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion; and an electronic control system configured to vary a parameter of electrical energy supplied to the set of electromagnets over time to induce back and forth motion of one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion.
PEDESTAL GLIDER AND RECLINER CHAIR AND MECHANISM
A seating unit is provided with a glider linkage and a powered reclining mechanism, supported on a pedestal base. The glider linkage allows the seating unit to move to and fro in a gliding motion when the seating unit is in the closed position. The powered reclining mechanism allows independent operation of the footrest and back recline, utilizing a two-motor design. As the seating unit moves from the closed position to the TV position, with the footrest extended, a locking linkage prevents the glider linkage from moving. Additionally, the locking of the glider linkage provides at least a portion of the change in pitch of the seat. The recliner linkage provides the remaining portion of the change in pitch of the seat as the mechanism moves from the closed to the TV position. Because the back recline is independent from the footrest extension, the back can be at least partially reclined even when the seating unit is in the closed position.
Reclining furniture comprising a warning device, and method for operating a warning device of a reclining furniture
The invention relates to reclining furniture comprising at least one sensor (6) and a warning device coupled to said sensor in order to warn about an undesired standing process of a user of the reclining furniture. The reclining furniture is characterized in that the warning device is designed to evaluate information of the at least one sensor (6) with respect to a movement and/or behavior pattern of a person using the reclining furniture in order to emit a warning signal as soon as there is an intention to leave the reclining furniture. The invention additionally relates to a method for operating a warning device of reclining furniture, said warning device being coupled to at least one sensor (6) which is arranged on the reclining furniture.
