A capacitance detection device includes a first voltage output circuit configured to output a first alternating current voltage supplied to a shield electrode provided proximate to a detection electrode, a second voltage output circuit configured to output a second alternating current voltage whose frequency and phase are the same as that of the first alternating current voltage and whose amplitude is less than that of the first alternating current voltage, and a current output circuit configured to output a driving current Is to the detection electrode so that the difference between the voltage of the detection electrode and the second alternating current voltage becomes smaller, and output a detection signal corresponding to the driving current. The second voltage output circuit outputs a second alternating current voltage whose amplitude is adjusted so that the driving current in the absence of the object proximate to the detection electrode.

A capacitive sensor including a sensor electrode connected to a signal generation circuit and a signal evaluation circuit. The signal generation circuit contains a signal generator that is a noise generator or a pseudo-noise generator, the signal evaluation circuit includes a synchronous rectifier. The synchronous rectifier is connected for synchronization to the signal generator.
CAPACITIVE SENSOR FILTERING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND SYSTEM
A transform is used to transform raw sensor data from the time domain to the frequency or sequency domain. The transformed data falls into several signal bins. The transformed data in at least one of the signal bins is analyzed to determine whether a touch event or release event has occurred.
Phase relationship sensing system
A person or object is infused with a signal. The infused signal has a phase relationship with the signals that are transmitted from and used by a touch sensor, controller or wearable. The phase relationship of the infused signal is used in order to increase the ability of receivers at or on the touch sensor, controller or wearable to measure and determine touch events, such as hover.
Method for detecting contact on a capacitive sensor element
A method for detecting contact of a capacitive sensor includes transferring charge quantities in multiple successive cycles from the capacitive sensor to an integration capacitor having a known capacitance value. A voltage of the integration capacitor is measured. The measured voltage is processed to generate a sensor amplitude that is indicative of a capacitance value of the capacitive sensor. Contact of the capacitive sensor is detected based on a temporal behavior of the sensor amplitude. For instance, contact of the capacitive sensor is detected based on the rate of change of the sensor amplitude.
Switching operation sensing apparatus with touch input member identification
A switching operation sensing apparatus includes an input operation unit, an oscillation circuit, a frequency digital converter, and a touch detection circuit. The input operation unit includes a first switching member integrally formed with a housing. The oscillation circuit is configured to generate an oscillation signal having a resonant frequency, varying based on a capacitive change or an inductive change, depending on a touch input member in contact with the first switching member during an input operation. The frequency digital converter is configured to convert the oscillation signal into a count value. The touch detection circuit is configured to detect capacitive sensing and inductive sensing based on a slope change of the count value received from the frequency digital converter, and output corresponding touch detection signals of different levels based on the detection.
ELECTROSTATIC SENSOR AND DOOR HANDLE
An electrostatic sensor includes a detection electrode, a shield electrode provided in a periphery of the detection electrode, a first power supply coupled to the detection electrode and configured to generate an AC voltage having a first amplitude, a second power supply coupled to the shield electrode and configured to generate an AC voltage having a second amplitude, a measuring device configured to measure a quantity of charge flowing from the first power supply to the detection electrode, and a control device coupled to the measuring device. The AC voltages generated by the first and second power supplies have the same frequency and the same phase. The second amplitude is larger than the first amplitude. A detection target on a side of a detection surface is detected based on a change in an electrostatic capacitance between the detection electrode and the detection target.

DETECTING SYSTEM AND DETECTING METHOD
Detecting system and detecting method are for detecting deformation degree of capacitive touch device's touch surface. Detecting system has a deformation detecting component and a computer. The deformation detecting component has two conductive supporters, conductive reference member mounted on the conductive supporters and having straight edge, and deformation degree measuring member. The conductive base has a measuring surface, a bottom surface, and an acute angle formed between the bottom surface and the measuring surface. The electrical conductor layers are sequentially arranged on the measuring surface and have different electrical impedance values. When the deformation degree measuring member is inserted between the straight edge, the conductive supporters and the touch surface, the conductive base, the conductor layers and the straight edge are electrically conducted, the capacitive touch device generates deformation degree signal. The computer receives the deformation degree signal and generates a deformation degree data.
