Seat reclining device and seat

Wobbling among components is reduced. The seat reclining device includes: outer rolling members (80) disposed between a ring-shaped bottom surface portion (71) of a mounting ring (70) and an outer surface of a guide bracket (20) or an outer surface of an internal gear (30), that faces the ring-shaped bottom surface portion (71); and inner rolling members (90) which are disposed between opposed surfaces of guide groove portions of the guide bracket (20) and lock plates (60A to 60D) to guide the lock plates (60A, 60C) in a radial direction. Owing to the outer rolling members (80) and the inner rolling members (90), force pressing stacked members relatively to one another functions in a stacking direction, and as its reaction force, spring force of the mounting ring (70) acts, so that wobbling is reduced. As for the relative pressing force by the outer rolling members (80) and the inner rolling members (90), the pressing force by the rolling members (80, 90) acts not only in a locked state but also in an unlocked state, so that wobbling among the members is reduced in the both states.

A pivotal fitting includes a bearing element on which a first pivot lever and a second pivot lever are rotatably mounted about spaced-apart axes, the first pivot lever and the second pivot lever engaging one another on the side facing one another and being rotatable together, a movable locking element being provided on the bearing element which is movable between a position locking the first and second pivot levers and a position unlocking the first and second pivot levers, in which the pivot levers are rotatable. The locking element is manually movable by an operating element from the locking position into the unlocking position. As a result, the pivotal fitting can be used to mount a seat part and a back part on a piece of furniture so that they can pivot relative to one another.

The portable folding chair may include leg members attached to the lower portion of the central assembly. Each of the leg members may be moveable between a folded position and a deployed position. The portable folding chair may further include seat members that may be attached to the upper portion of the central assembly. Each of the seat members may be moveable between a folded position and a deployed position.

Wheelchair with dynamic occupant-tilt feature

A wheelchair having a tiltable occupant-support assembly, a powered drive system for adjusting the degree of tilt, and a control system for varying the degree of tilt in a programmatic automated fashion. The wheelchair is programmed or programmable to vary the degree of tilt, and therefore the wheelchair's occupant, automatedly. The wheelchair may provide pre-set ranges of seating angles and durations of time at each angle of tilt. The wheelchair thereby allows for reliable off-loading of the occupant's weight from pressure points, to avoid pressure ulcers, and does so programmatically so as to reduce the burden on healthcare staff and professionals while also ensuring adherence with prescribed tilting schedules.
