Other embodiments are disclosed.
Radio frequency tripler systems and methods thereof
This frequency tripler system uses a cascade of integrated transistor circuit differential limiting amplifiers and tunable notch filters that can directly serve one or more outputs, such as a direct clock or local oscillator drive. With this topology, filtering is distributed between two or more stages of differential limiting amplifiers and tunable notch filters. This enables suppression of smaller fundamental tone by the differential limiting amplifiers along with the tunable notch filters and yields a strong third harmonic signal to directly drive high performance mixers and digital-to-analog converters.
METHODS, SYSTEMS AND DEVICES TO IMPROVE CHANNEL UTILIZATION
A method that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining, by a system comprising a processor, interference information associated with one or more physical resource blocks (PRBs) from each base station of a plurality of base stations. Further, the method can include determining, by the system, from the interference information a strategy for improving a PRB utilization of a first base station of the plurality of base stations. In addition, the method can include conveying, by the system, the strategy to at least one base station of the plurality of base stations. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Radio frequency device and multi-band matching circuit
A radio frequency (RF) device and a multi-band matching circuit thereof are provided. The multi-band matching circuit includes an inductance circuit, a first capacitance circuit, an inductor, and a second capacitance circuit. A first terminal of the inductance circuit is coupled to a RF signal input terminal of the multi-band matching circuit. A first terminal of the first capacitance circuit is coupled to a second terminal of the inductance circuit. A first terminal of the inductor and a first terminal of the second capacitance circuit are coupled to a second terminal of the first capacitance circuit. A second terminal of the inductor is coupled to a first reference voltage. A second terminal of the second capacitance circuit is coupled to a second reference voltage. The second capacitance circuit is controlled by a single-bit control signal to change a capacitance value of the second capacitance circuit.
Hybridized wideband notch filter topologies and methods
Radio frequency (RF) acoustic wave resonator (AWR) filter circuits and methods. Embodiments essentially de-couple the stopband or notch characteristics of an RF filter from the passband characteristics. Accordingly, the de-coupled parameters can be individually designed to meet the specifications of a particular application. Partially-hybridized or fully-hybridized series-arm and parallel-arm AWR filter building blocks enable “de-coupled” RF filters having (1) wideband and low insertion loss passbands and (2) wideband deep notches (stopbands) with a specifically placed notch center frequency, without compromising the passband characteristics. The AWR filter building blocks include an inductance L that matches (resonates with) the electrostatic capacitance CO of the corresponding AWR within a desired passband. The resonance and anti-resonance frequencies of the building block AWRs are selected to be spaced apart from the specified passband in order to provide independent stopband or notch characteristics without substantially affecting the passband characteristics.
SELF-TUNING RF LINK
RF receivers having self-tuning capabilities. An example can provide self-tuning by detecting a first envelope of a first demodulated output signal and a second envelope of a second demodulated output signal. A difference between the detected envelopes can be filtered to generate a control signal. The control signal can be applied to a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator. In-phase and quadrature outputs of the voltage-controlled crystal oscillator can be used to demodulate a received signal to demodulate in-phase and quadrature signals. Loop gain dependency on input signal amplitude can be reduced by using logarithmic amplifiers after the envelope detectors, or by replacing the envelope detectors and logarithmic amplifiers with demodulating logarithmic amplifiers.

The first tunable filter is coupled between an output of a power amplifier and a radio frequency switch. The second tunable filter includes mutually coupled inductors and a tunable impedance circuit electrically connected to at least one of the mutually coupled inductors. The second tunable filter is coupled between an antenna switch and an antenna node. Related methods and wireless communication devices are also disclosed.
