GESTURE CONTROL OF INTERACTIVE EVENTS USING MULTIPLE WEARABLE DEVICES
Systems and methods for gesture control of an interactive event using multiple wearable devices are herein disclosed as comprising, in an implementation, receiving signal data indicative of at least one gesture from a first sensor of a first wearable device and a second sensor of a second wearable device, performing pre-processing on the signal data by a computing device in communication with the first wearable device and the second wearable device, performing feature extraction on the pre-processed signal data by the computing device, and determining the at least one gesture based on the feature extracted signal data and offline training data by the computing device. In an implementation, the first sensor and the second sensor comprise one or more of a three-axis accelerometer, a six-axis accelerometer, or an electromyography sensor, and can be configured to calibrate the other.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING AND USING A WEARABLE DEVICE PROFILE
A system and method for generating and using a wearable device profile are disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: a retention mechanism including an attachment mechanism configured to attach the retention mechanism to a body part of a user; a memory device for storage of information indicative of the location of the body part in a wearable device profile; and a data interface for communicating the wearable device profile to another electronic device.
MAGNETICALLY CONFIGURABLE STRAP ACCESSORY FOR A MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE
A magnetically configurable strap accessory for a mobile communications device and method of using the same is disclosed. The magnetically configurable strap accessory includes a strap and a base. The strap includes at least one strap magnet. The base includes at least one base magnet and a sleeve disposed at a first end of the base into which a portion of the strap can be retracted when the accessory is in a closed position and from which a portion of the strap can be extended when the accessory is in an open position. In the closed position, he strap is held in a substantially flat position against the base by way of magnetic attraction between at least one of the strap magnets and at least one of the first base magnets. In an open position, the strap is held in a substantially arched position with respect to the base hereby forming a loop between the base and the strap.
Bracelet with clock and remote key fob
A fashionable bracelet operates as a remote car key fob and a clock. The bracelet provides multiple buttons allowing a user to operate the bracelet to control access to the vehicle coupled to the bracelet. The bracelet receives voice commands to operate the vehicle. Moreover, the bracelet incorporates a GPS subsystem for auto-piloting the vehicle to the location of the user. The bracelet further incorporates multiple LEDs to provide operational feedback to the user. The clock can be turned on and off using one of the buttons. The wireless key fob functions and the clock are controlled by a microcontroller disposed within the bracelet. The bracelet includes a battery to provide power to various components of the bracelet. The battery is operatively coupled to a solar panel. The bracelet is conveniently and securely attached to the wrist of the user.
HAND STRAP FOR ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
A hand strap for an electronic apparatus is provided with a first gripper, which is attached to a rear surface of an electronic apparatus in a removable manner, and a second gripper. The first gripper has a main body and an accommodation portion. The second gripper includes a fixed portion and an extra-long portion, one end of which is a free end. The extra-long portion is accommodated inside the accommodation portion, and can adjust the entire length of the second gripper. A finger accommodation space in which a finger other than a thumb is disposed between the first gripper and the second gripper, is defined. By gripping the first gripper with the pad and the tip end of a finger other than a thumb, it is possible to perform operation with a thumb over a wide area of a touch panel while holding an electronic apparatus with one hand.
Taking Actions On Notifications Using An Incomplete Data Set From A Message
An apparatus, a system, and a method in which a message notification application such as an e-mail notification application resident in a first memory on a wearable electronic device is configured to provide messaging actions; where the message notification application has a user interface to present content of a message originating from an message application resident on a mobile computing device; where the message notification application is configured to analyze a notification of the message to obtain an incomplete data set; and where the message notification application is configured to work with a server configured to integrate with one or more application programming interfaces of one or more messaging service providers, where the server has a server module configured to receive the incomplete data set and use all or a portion of the incomplete data set as search query terms to retrieve an instance of the message in its full-message format.
Low-power wireless content communication between devices
Low-power wireless content communication techniques between devices are described. In one or more implementations, a method is described of controlling transfer of content to a wearable device from one or more computing devices over a lower power wireless communication connection. The method includes initiating a transfer of content to the wearable device over the lower power wireless communication connection to support playback of the content at the wearable device, in which the low power wireless communication connection does not support streaming of the content in an amount sufficient to support real time playback of the content at the wearable device. The transfer is managed of a plurality of portions of the content to the wearable device over the lower power wireless communication connection in which individual ones of the plurality of portions are transferred from the one or more computing device responsive to availability of the lower power wireless communication connection with the one or more computing devices. The plurality of portions of the content are caused to be stored locally at the wearable device.
