OPPORTUNISTIC COMMUNICATION WAVEFORM
A communication system is described. The communication system includes a number of nodes which frequency hop without coordination from a frequency table. To establish communication, the nodes scan across a band for one or more signals of interest. The signals of interest include one or more of a synchronization signal, a control signal, and a traffic signal. When transmitting the signals of interest, the nodes determine one or more characteristic for the signal, such as a channel, based on a spectral occupancy of interferers in the band.

FREQUENCY-HOPPING WITH ZERO OFFSET FOR INDICATION OF NO JOINT CHANNEL ESTIMATION
Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to determine whether phase continuity is to be maintained for one or more uplink transmissions when the UE is configured with a frequency-hopping with zero frequency offset. In one aspect, a UE receives, from a network entity, an indication of frequency hopping with zero frequency offset. The UE determines whether phase continuity is to be applied to UL transmissions based on the indication of the frequency hopping with zero frequency offset. The UE transmits, to the network entity, at least one uplink channel with no phase continuity based on the determination to not apply phase continuity to the UL transmissions.
Indication of modulation and coding scheme for wireless device in coverage enhanced mode
Some embodiments include a method performed by a network node for indicating a modulation and coding scheme for a wireless device operating in a coverage enhancement mode, wherein the wireless device operates with a first modulation and coding scheme using physical downlink shared channel repetitions and with a second modulation and coding scheme without using physical downlink shared channel repetitions, and wherein the second modulation and coding scheme is a higher order of modulation and coding than the first modulation and coding scheme, the method comprising configuring, when physical downlink shared channel repetitions are not used, the downlink control information to indicate one or more parameters related to the second modulation and coding scheme, the indication comprising at least the modulation and coding scheme field of the first modulation and coding scheme and one or more downlink control information field bits which are used in relation to repetitions when repetitions of a physical downlink shared channel are used.
Slave device with fast Bluetooth connection and responding method thereof
There is provided a fast paging procedure in which a master device repeatedly sends the paging message to a slave device using predetermined channel frequencies, wherein a selection of the predetermined channel frequencies is not calculated or predicted from the slave's Bluetooth device address. When the master device receives a slave page response message at one frequency among the predetermined channel frequencies, the master device transmits an FHS packet to the slave device at the same frequency in which the slave page response message was received.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING, MONITORING, AND MITIGATING THE PRESENCE OF A DRONE USING FREQUENCY HOPPING
Systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and mitigating the presence of a drone are provided herein. In one aspect, a system for detecting presence of a one or more drones includes a radio-frequency (RF) receiver configured to receive an RF signal transmitted between a drone and a controller. The system can further include a processor and a computer-readable memory in communication with the processor and having stored thereon computer-executable instructions to cause the at least one processor to receive a set of samples from the RF receiver for a time interval, the set of samples comprising samples of the first RF signal, obtain a parameter model of the first frequency hopping parameters, and fit the parameter model to the set of samples.
NARROWBAND IQ SIGNAL OBFUSCATION
Narrow brand IQ signals are obfuscated by embedding the signal in a buffered portion of wideband IQ frequency data. After the data has been received and buffered, the receiving transceiver, using a wideband IQ frequency data key, of a predetermined and shared format, decodes and reconstitute the narrowband IQ signal.
SLEEPY DEVICE OPERATION IN ASYNCHRONOUS CHANNEL HOPPING NETWORKS
A radio communications device includes a RTC configured to run even during sleep for receiving from a coordinator node (CN) in an asynchronous channel hopping WPAN an asynchronous hopping sequence (AHS) frame that includes the CN's hopping sequence. A processor implements a stored sleepy device operation in asynchronous channel hopping networks algorithm. The algorithm is for determining a time stamp for the AHS frame and the CN's initial timing position within the hopping sequence, storing the time stamp, going to sleep and upon waking up changing a frequency band of its receive (Rx) channel to an updated fixed channel. A data request command frame is transmitted by the device on the CN's listening channel that is calculated from the CN's hopping sequence, time stamp, CN's initial timing position and current time, and the device receives an ACK frame transmitted by the CN at the updated fixed channel of Rx operation.
Pseudo-spectrum averaging for angle of arrival detection
A system and method for determining a direction of arrival of an incoming signal is disclosed. The present system utilizes a plurality of pseudo-spectrums to create a more accurate result matrix. The pseudo-spectrums are one or two dimensional arrays, where peaks in the arrays are indicative of the angle of arrival. A result matrix is generated by performing a mathematical operation of corresponding elements in each pseudo-spectrum. This mathematical operation may be addition or multiplication. The result matrix provides a more accurate indication of the angle of arrival than can otherwise by achieved. In some embodiments, a measure of quality may also be calculated for the result matrix.
