An echo cancellation device and an echo cancellation method thereof applied in a communication device are provided. The echo cancellation device includes an echo canceller and a combine circuit. The echo canceller obtains a plurality of delayed signals from a local signal of the communication device, and the delayed signals are divided into a plurality of delayed signal groups. The echo canceller selectively ignores at least one of the delayed signal groups, and the echo canceller generates an echo cancellation signal with the others of the delayed signal groups. The combine circuit is coupled to an interface circuit of the communication device to receive a received signal. The combine circuit cancels an echo component of the received signal with the echo cancellation signal to generate a cancelled signal.

Acoustic echo cancelling includes receiving a source signal and a sink signal; providing a first error signal representative of an echo-free residual signal based on a first set of coefficients based on the source signal and the sink signal, the first error signal forming an output signal of the controller; providing a second error signal based on a second set of coefficients based on the source signal and the sink signal; detecting a room change if the evaluated first second error signal is greater than a sum or product of the evaluated second first error signal and a first threshold; copying one of sets of reference coefficients stored in a memory to the second acoustic echo canceller; and copying the first set of coefficients from the first acoustic echo canceller as a set of reference coefficients into at least one of the second acoustic echo canceller and the memory.

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for transmitting a signal using a power amplifier in a wireless communication system in which a transceiver comprises a digital pre-distorter configured to distort an input signal based on a distortion control value, a power amplifier configured to amplify an output signal from the digital pre-distorter, an antenna configured to transmit an output signal from the power amplifier, an echo signal canceller configured to remove an echo signal which returns to the power amplifier due to a return loss of a path between the power amplifier and the antenna, from a feedback signal obtained at an output stage of the power amplifier, and a digital pre-distortion adaptation unit configured to determine the distortion control value based on an output signal from the echo signal canceller.

If the designated channels have changed assignment values and EC training has not been performed on the designated channels for the current RBA, the CM performs EC training on the designated channels for the current RBA.

Segmented echo cancellation filter for use in full-duplex communication systems

Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for a segmented ECF that includes multiple filter components to replicate an echo pulse response. The different filter components are used to replicate different portions of the echo pulse response. Each filter components can include filter coefficients of different sizes based on the portions of the echo pulse response that is replicated by the filter component. For example, a filter component that replicates a portion of the echo pulse response that includes a large reflection can include large filter coefficients suitable to replicate the larger reflection. In contrast, a filter component that replicates a portion of the echo pulse response that includes smaller reflections can include smaller filter coefficients that are suitable to replicate the smaller reflection. The output of each of the filter components is combined to replicate the full echo pulse response.
