Galvanic isolator
A system on a package (SOP) can include a galvanic isolator. The galvanic isolator can include an input stage configured to transmit an input RF signal in response to receiving an input modulated signal. The galvanic isolator can also include a resonant coupler electrically isolated from the input stage by a dielectric. The resonant coupler can be configured to filter the input RF signal and transmit an output RF signal in response to the input RF signal. The galvanic isolator can further include an output stage electrically isolated from the resonant coupler by the dielectric. The output stage can be configured to provide an output modulated signal in response to receiving the output RF signal.
COIL FOR MOBILE DEVICE CONTEXT-DRIVEN SWITCHING AND WIRELESS CHARGING
Apparatus, system and method to provide switchable coils in a computing device, comprising: a plurality of electrically conductive coils to transfer electromagnetic energy; a sensor coupled to a processor, to select a coil from among the plurality of electrically conductive coils; a switch to energize the selected coil; and a switch controller coupled to the switch and to the processor. In some embodiments, the plurality of coils may comprise an inductive charging interface. Some embodiments may further include a communication interface between the processor to the plurality of electrically conductive coils, the plurality of coils comprising an interface for near-field communications (NFC). The antenna coils may be arranged to provide improved NFC coverage when the computing device is in a respective predetermined physical configuration. Sensors may be used to detect the configuration and switch NFC communications to use a preferred antenna coil for the detected configuration.
Array and method for improved wireless communication
A system for communicating with a wireless device including a base including a front surface; a plurality of communication coils disposed on the front surface and arranged in a matrix, the coils being tuned to a near-field communication frequency; a selector coupled to the coils; at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor coupled to the selector and executing the instructions to perform operations. The operations include at least receiving a plurality of feedback signals associated with the coils; identifying a selected one of the coils associated with a strongest one of the feedback signals; and causing the selector to couple the selected coil with a wireless communication module.
MAGNETIC COUPLING DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
According to one embodiment, there is provided a magnetic coupling device including a first coil, a second coil, a third coil, a fourth coil, a first constant-potential node and a second constant-potential node. The second coil is electrically connected with one end of the first coil and wound in a direction opposite to a direction in which the first coil is wound. The third coil faces the first coil. The fourth coil faces the second coil. The first constant-potential node is electrically connected with one end of the third coil. The second constant-potential node is electrically connected with one end of the fourth coil.
Transmission interface having noise reduction function
A transmission interface with noise reduction function includes a first circuit and a second circuit, for transmitting a signal from the first circuit to the second circuit or from the second circuit to the first circuit. The first circuit includes a first sub-winding and a first wire unit, and the second circuit includes a second sub-winding and a second wire unit. When an electromagnetic noise passes through the first sub-winding and the first wire unit, two loop currents are respectively generated, and the currents have opposite directions to cancel each other so as to reduce the electromagnetic noise. Or, when an emitting current corresponding to the signal flows through the first sub-winding and the first wire unit, two magnetic fields are respectively generated, and the magnetic fields have opposite directions to cancel each other so as to reduce the electromagnetic interference.

According to one embodiment, in a magnetic coupler, a plurality of coils includes a first pattern and a second pattern. The first pattern includes a first winding portion and a second winding portion. The second winding portion is arranged in a first direction to the first winding portion The second pattern is disposed adjacent to the first pattern along the first plane. The second pattern is arranged at a position corresponding to a boundary between the first winding pattern and the second winding pattern. The second pattern includes a third winding portion and a fourth winding portion. The fourth winding portion is arranged in a second direction to the third winding portion. The second direction is a different direction from the first direction. The fourth winding portion is wound in a reversed direction with the third winding portion.

There is disclosed a mobile terminal including a first case comprising a battery loading portion, a battery loaded in the battery loading portion, a second case coupled to the first case and configured to cover the battery, a coil antenna module arranged between the second case and the battery, and a controller electrically connected to the coil antenna module and configured to transmit and receive a signal or receive an electric power, wherein the coil antenna module includes an insulating sheet, a first coil arranged in a surface of the insulating sheet, a second coil arranged in the first coil, a third coil arranged in the second coil, and a magnetic sheet disposed on the surface of the insulating sheet, and ends of the first, second and third coils are arranged in the surface of the insulating sheet or dividedly arranged in both surfaces of the insulating sheet. The mobile terminal may realize the coil antenna module including a plurality of coils configured to perform diverse manners of wireless communication in a limited area.

An information transmitter includes a transmitting coil configured to receive a coil voltage to generate a magnetic field; and a signal generator configured to receive a direct current (DC) voltage and operating switches to apply the coil voltage to the transmitting coil, for a first time constant in a first current path, wherein the coil voltage includes a first value, and for a second time constant in a second current path, wherein the coil voltage includes a second value smaller than the first value, and wherein the first time constant and second time constant are different from each other.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CLOSE PROXIMITY COMMUNICATION
A method for close proximity communication is disclosed. The method comprises detecting a signal transmitted by a close proximity communication (CPC) device at one of a distance of greater than or less than a CPC detection perimeter with a multi-mode magnetic induction communication (MMMIC) device with at least one antenna. The method further comprises identifying the type of device transmitting the detected signal. The method further comprises enabling the MMMIC device to communicate with the close proximity communication device at one of the distance of greater than the CPC detection perimeter and the distance of less than the CPC detection perimeter based on the type of device that is identified.
