RECONFIGURABLE FULLY-CONNECTED BIDIRECTIONAL HYBRID BEAMFORMING TRANSCEIVER
Disclosed herein is a new type of fully-connected, hybrid beamforming transceiver architecture. The transceiver described herein is bi-directional and can be configured as a transmit beamformer or a receive beamformer. A method and apparatus are described that allows the beamformer to operate in “carrier aggregated” mode, where communication channels in multiple disparate frequency bands can be simultaneously accessed.
HIGH RELIABILITY TRANSMISSION MODE FOR 2-STEP SECONDARY CELL BEAM FAILURE RECOVERY PROCEDURE
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for performing beam failure recovery involving a secondary cell.
Spatial antenna diversity techniques
Embodiments disclosed herein include headphone devices with spatially diverse antennas employing multiple operational modes and antenna switching policies. The headphone device may identify a current mode of operation and wirelessly communicate with at least one external device based at least in part on the current mode of operation. Further, operating in a first mode of operation, the headphone device may cause switching circuitry to selectively couple a first antenna to the common port in accordance with a first antenna switching policy. While operating in the second mode of operation, the headphone device may cause circuitry to selectively couple a second antenna to the common port in accordance with a second antenna switching policy that is different from the first antenna switching policy.
LTE Resource Allocation
A method for allocating available transceiver resources across different component carriers (CC) includes obtaining a carrier aggregation capability that includes a list of available CCs supported by the UE at a current location for simultaneous communication with a carrier aggregation capable network. The method also includes, for each of the available CCs, obtaining an expected key performance indicator (KPI) associated with the corresponding available CC at the current location. The method also includes allocating the available transceiver resources across the available CCs based on the expected KPIs at the current location.
Electronic device for transmitting or receiving signal and method therefor
Disclosed is an electronic apparatus. The electronic apparatus may include a communication circuit including a plurality of ports, each of which transmits a signal in at least one frequency band and transmitting or receiving a signal in the at least one frequency band and a processor is configured to obtain frequency band information indicating the at least one frequency band and context information indicating a state of the electronic apparatus and to determine a port to be used for the respective at least one frequency band among the plurality of ports based on the obtained information. Other various embodiments as understood from the specification are also possible.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTION OF CYBER TAMPERING, PHYSICAL TAMPERING, AND CHANGES IN PERFORMANCE OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES
An analog tamper-detection apparatus (ATAMP) for onboard analysis of a target device includes a plurality of antennas, each antenna of the plurality of antennas disposed within the target device and being electrically isolated from components of the target device. The ATAMP device further includes radio frequency (RF) front-end (RFFE) transmitter circuitry coupled to the plurality of antennas, the RFFE transmitter circuitry configured to illuminate the target device with a plurality of electromagnetic signals emitted via the plurality of antennas, to generate a plurality of mixed RF signals. The ATAMP device further includes RFFE receiver circuitry configured to receive emissions from the target device based on the mixed RF signals, and processing circuitry configured to perform subsequent analysis and evaluation of the target device based on the received emissions. The processing circuitry further generates a notification of the subsequent analysis and evaluation.
Radio system for radio communication
A radio system for radio communication comprises at least two antennas that are spaced from each other by a distance. The distance is set to enable independent transmission or reception of radio signals via the at least two antennas. The system comprises a selection module configured to select at least one of the at least two antennas for radio transmission and/or radio reception.
A method and apparatus are described that allows the beamformer to operate in carrier aggregated mode, where communication channels in multiple disparate frequency bands can be simultaneously accessed.
Methods and systems for hybrid beamforming for MIMO communications
Methods and apparatuses for hybrid beamforming are described. The described methods and apparatuses related to hybrid beamforming for single user multiple-input multiple-output (SU MIMO) communications and for multi-user multiple-input single-output (MU MISO) communications. The radio frequency (RF) precoder and baseband precoder are determined such that the hybrid precoder has a minimum or near minimum chordal distance from an optimal precoder. Feedback information enables the transmitter to select columns from a set of discrete Fourier transform (DFT) columns to form the RF precoder matrix.
TERMINAL AND RADIO COMMUNICATION METHOD
A terminal is disclosed including a processor that increments a beam failure instance counter, in a higher layer, based on a beam failure instance indication received from a physical layer; and a transmitter that, when the beam failure instance counter is greater than or equal to a given threshold, transmits a random access preamble based on a transmission instruction from the higher layer. In another aspect, a radio communication method for a terminal is also disclosed.
