EMBEDDED CONTROL SIGNALING FOR SELF-ORGANIZING WIRELESS BACKHAUL RADIO AND SYSTEMS

Enhancement of wireless Channel Order and rank (ECHO) systems and ECHO repeater devices for enhancement of a wireless propagation channel for point to point or point to multipoint radio configurations are disclosed. The enhancement may be used for MIMO communications channels. Aspects support a richer multipath environment to increase the rank of the channel propagation matrix and/or to increase the magnitude of the coefficients of the propagation matrix between two or more radios. Such enhancement is applicable to backhaul radios in terms of increased range or in the number of supportable information streams. The installation, provisioning, optimization, control, monitoring, and adaptation of such devices within a network of backhaul radios is also disclosed. Wireless links and control between IBR and ECHO devices, and between ECHO devices and other ECHO devices, are also disclosed.

In-band full duplex relay to enhance uplink performance in heterogeneous network

An apparatus of a base station in a network may include a memory device and a processing device operatively coupled to the memory device. The processing device may process a message received at the base station from a macro-cell base station. The message may include a request to act as a relay for a user equipment (UE). The processing device may then determine that the base station is to act as a relay for the UE. The processing device may then generate a message comprising an indication that the base station accepted the request to act as a relay for the UE.

CONTROL OF SIMULTANEOUS USE OF WIRELESS LINKS IN INTEGRATED ACCESS BACKHAULED NETWORKS

In an Integrated Access and Backhaul, IAB, network, an IAB-node is configured as an initiator for performing BAP-sublayer processing to the aim of transmitting BAP packets over multiple RLC channels. BAP-sublayer processing may duplicate a received BAP packet. The same sequence number is appended to all the duplicates to allow another IAB-node terminating the duplication to recognize them. In a variant, BAP-sublayer processing may network encode one received BAP packet. Successive sequence numbers are assigned to the resulting BAP packets to allow another IAB-node terminating the network coding to recognize them. A terminator of the BAP-layer processing thus terminates the duplication by discarding all duplicates except one or network decodes received packets with successive sequence numbers. Duplication process may be nested within another duplication or within a network encoding. This approach advantageously increases robustness of a wireless network, distributes the processing loads over multiple IAB-nodes and reduces bandwidth waste.

Broadcast isochronous relay over ESCO

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may communicate with a second device, which may be a Bluetooth device, using a relay profile (e.g., a low energy (LE) isochronous (ISO) relay profile). In accordance with broadcast discovery signaling by the device and decisions made by the Bluetooth device, the device may synchronize to a broadcast isochronous stream (BIS) from another device. The device may then establish a communication link with the second device (e.g., a synchronous connection oriented (SCO) link, an enhanced synchronous connection oriented (eSCO) link, an asynchronous connection less (ACL) link) to be used for relay of the BIS. The device may then convert, based on the relay profile, broadcast isochronous data packets of the BIS to SCO packets, eSCO packets, and/or ACL packets, and relay the converted packets to the second device via the established communication link.

In some examples, a first user equipment (UE) sends an indication to an application server that the first UE is to use a relay UE to access a network. The first UE receives, from the application server, a first identity different from a second identity of the first UE. The first UE uses the first identity to register with the network to authenticate the first UE.
