Narrowband time-division duplex frame structure for narrowband communications

There is a need to support narrowband TDD frame structure for narrowband communications. The present disclosure provides a solution by supporting one or more narrowband TDD frame structure(s) for narrowband communications. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may determine a narrowband communication frame structure comprising a FDD mode or a TDD mode and a particular TDD frame structure for narrowband communications from a group of narrowband TDD frame structures. The apparatus may determine a periodicity, subframe number, and transmission sequence associated with a SSS based at least in part on the narrowband TDD frame structure. The apparatus may transmit the SSS using the narrowband TDD frame structure determined for the narrowband communications. In one aspect, the SSS may be transmitted in a same subframe within a frame and at a periodicity of 2 or more frames.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive configuration information identifying respective rate matching resources of at least two groups and respective transmission configuration indication (TCI) states for the at least two groups. The user equipment may rate match a shared channel transmitted by one or more transmitters based at least in part on the respective rate matching resources and the respective TCI states. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating L1 UE-side filtering for mmW frequencies are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a user equipment includes configuring a filter coefficient for a serving beam. The example method also includes applying the filter coefficient to the serving beam to determine an updated filtered measurement result. The example method also includes reporting the updated filtered measurement result to a base station.

Phase tracking reference signal symbol mapping

The present disclosure provides techniques that may be applied, for example, for determining phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) patterns/configurations. As described herein, PT-RS may be mapped to a symbol based, at least in part, on one or more symbols in which a PT-RS is expected to be punctured due to a collision with at least one of time or frequency resources allocated to another signal or to another wireless device, a MCS, and/or an expected PT-RS density.

Electronic face mask

In an embodiment, a processor is configured to randomly select one code from a plurality of predefined codes to identify a first code. A transceiver is operatively coupled to the processor. The transceiver is configured to send a signal representing the first code. The transceiver is also configured to receive a signal representing a second code. The processor is configured to determine whether the second code corresponds to the first code or a third code from the plurality of predefined codes. An actuator is operatively coupled to the processor. The actuator is configured to send a first alert in response to the second code corresponding to the first code and representing an object reflecting the signal representing the first code. The actuator is configured to send a second alert in response to the second code corresponding to the third code and representing a different device being within a predefined distance.

Pre-allocated random access identifiers

Systems and methods of pre-allocating identifiers to wireless devices for use in requesting resources over a random access channel are described. A wireless communication system includes a random access channel over which wireless devices can anonymously send requests for resources. The base stations receiving and processing the anonymous requests reduces the probability of random access channel collisions and conserves the resources needed to support the anonymous requests by pre-allocating one or more identifiers to select wireless devices. The wireless devices having the pre-allocated codes can transmit a particular code over the random access channel as a request for resources that uniquely identifies the requester.

FACILITATING SEMI-OPEN LOOP BASED TRANSMISSION DIVERSITY FOR UPLINK TRANSMISSIONS FOR 5G OR OTHER NEXT GENERATION NETWORKS
20200313737 · 2020-10-01 ·

Facilitating semi-open loop based transmission diversity for uplink transmissions in a communications network is provided herein. A system can comprise a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can comprise receiving, from a network device, information related to a sounding reference resource. The information related to the sounding reference resource can be based on a sounding reference signal resource transmission detected during a defined time interval. The operations can also comprise, based on a selected weight vector cycling, selecting a weight vector from defined weight vectors stored in the memory, resulting in a selected weight vector. Further, the operations can comprise transmitting, to the network device, a signal that comprises the selected weight vector multiplied with the sounding reference signal, during the selected weight vector cycling.
