A foot and/or leg support device for a chair. The chair includes a central post having a base, a seat supported by the central post and having a front seat edge, and a plurality of support legs which branch from the base of the central post. The support device includes a clamp for attachment to the central post of the chair, mountable to different diameters of the central post, a cantilever arm which extends from the clamp, and a support frame located at a distal end of the cantilever arm for supporting a foot and/or leg of a user, the cantilever arm being a length wherein at least part of the support frame extends past a vertical plane of the front seat edge of the chair. In an example, the support frame can be installed onto the central post without disassembling the chair.

The quick-release handle is provided at a bottom end of the inner sleeve for controlling a width of the through slot. The outer sleeve is used for connecting the footrest ring and has an inner threaded conic surface to screw the outer sleeve onto the inner sleeve.

The inner sleeve is used for being put around the central post and has an outer threaded surface, a through slot and a pair of passing holes below the outer threaded surface. The quick-release handle is formed with a through hole at an end thereof. The through hole corresponds to the passing holes for being passed through by a bolt. The inner sleeve is shrunken when the bolt is tightened and the quick-release handle is closed. The support frame has an outer sleeve and support rods radially extending therefrom. An inner threaded surface is formed inside the outer sleeve so as to screw the outer sleeve onto the inner sleeve. The ring is connected to outer ends of the support rods.
