Receiver beamforming for measurements

A wireless communications system may support beamforming to transmit and receive signals. A device operating within the wireless communications system may transmit a request to measure a beamformed reference signal. The device may also transmit a beamforming configuration indicating one or more beamforming options for measuring the beamformed reference signal. The beamforming options may include measuring the beamformed reference signal using a directional configuration and an omni-directional configuration. The device receiving the beamforming configuration may form a receive beam in accordance with the beamforming configuration to measure the beamformed reference signal. A device operating within the wireless communications system may determine to use a particular beamforming option for measuring a beamformed reference signal without first receiving a beamforming configuration, and may make the determination based on signal quality at the device or capabilities of the device.

The method includes receiving, from a base station, system information including physical random access channel (PRACH) configuration information, wherein the PRACH configuration information includes a list of preamble index ranges and one or more first reference signal received power (RSRP) thresholds, wherein each preamble index range is associated with a synchronization signal block (SSB); selecting, based on a quantity of antenna branch equipped for the UE, one first RSRP threshold from the one or more first RSRP thresholds; selecting, based on one or more synchronization signal (SS)-RSRP values of a set of SSBs and the selected first RSRP threshold, an SSB from the set of SSBs; selecting a preamble index from the first preamble index range associated with the selected SSB; selecting, for the UE, a non-coverage enhancement (CE) mode or a CE mode, at least based on the selected first RSRP threshold.

Systems and methods for detecting interference probability within a radio frequency band

A device may receive location information associated with a fixed service satellite station (receiver) configured to communicate via a first radio frequency (RF) band. The device may obtain historical communication data associated with the location and relating to previous communications conducted via a second RF band, of user equipment (UEs). The historical communication data may include historical signal power measurements of the previous communications. The device may adjust the historical signal power measurements to model estimated signal power measurements relating to a UE to communicating via a first RF band. The device may determine, based on the estimated signal power measurements, an interference score associated with a probability of a UE interfering with the receiver when communicating, via a first RF band, with a base station.

Channel state information feedback for multiple transmission reception points

Configuration parameters, of channel state information (CSI) resources for a first transmission reception point (TRP) and a second TRP of a cell, are received. One or more media access control control elements (MAC CEs) are received. The MAC CEs indicate a first semi persistent CSI report for the first TRP. The MAC CEs indicate a second semi persistent CSI report for the second TRP. First reference signal received power (RSRP) values, for the first semi persistent CSI report, are determined based on the plurality of CSI resources. Second RSRP values, for the second semi persistent CSI report, are determined based on the CSI resources. A codeword, comprising the first RSRP values and the second RSRP values, is created. The codeword is transmitted, based on the first semi persistent CSI report and the second semi persistent CSI report, via a physical uplink control channel resource.

Methods and apparatus for indicating and switching UE capabilities

The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may receive, from a base station, at least one SSB. The apparatus may also determine a RSRP of the at least one SSB. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of all of the at least one SSB is less than a threshold, an indication of a reduced UE capability of the UE during a RACH procedure. The apparatus may also transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of one of the at least one SSB is greater than or equal to the threshold, the indication of the reduced UE capability of the UE after entering into a RRC connected state upon completion of the RACH procedure.

Adaptive sensing based on number of retransmissions

An apparatus receives, in a transmission from a second UE, an indication of reserved resources for the second UE. The apparatus measures a received power of the transmission from the second UE. The apparatus excludes the reserved resources indicated by the second UE from a set of candidate resources based on the received power of the transmission from the second UE meeting a threshold, where the threshold is based at least in part on whether the reserved resources are associated with a retransmission.

Method and apparatus for signal interference processing

A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method for measuring a power level in at least a portion of a plurality of resource blocks occurring in a radio frequency spectrum, wherein the measuring occurs for a plurality of time cycles to generate a plurality of power level measurements, calculating a baseline power level according to at least a portion of the plurality of power levels, determining a threshold from the baseline power level, and monitoring at least a portion of the plurality of resource blocks for signal interference according to the threshold.
